This is not owerri , where did u get that large body of water ? There is no river that have such a large diameter in imo state.


That's Nwaorie river behind Alvan Ikoku federal University of Education. You can see the large body of water standing on the bridge heading towards control post from warehouse junction.

How can I miss a place I’ve never been to? I was shocked to find out it was 45 minutes from my abode. I will flex there one day if not for security issues.

That is Nworie river. If you view the river from inside FMC close to the mortuary area, you'll see the river is very wide

Aside Abuja and Lagos , no city in Nigeria comes close to owerri in entertainment and ambience

The wide wide 8 lanes roads in most parts of owerri, beautified with flowers and workways will make you think you are in California



Am from imo Mbano to be pricise each time I visit owerri I really don't feel the beauty or see all these beautiful places u guys always post here on nairaland the only time owerri looks beautiful and clean is during the early 2000. I was in owerri late last year and wasn't really impressed by the dirty environment and bad roads especially in Douglas road.

there are bad areas in every city. The case is Douglas is the market there, and indiscriminate dumping of thrash by the sellers, but waste disposal trucks always come to evacuate the thrash

Wetheral, okigwe road, shell camp/works layout, Douglas, Area A, Area C, Area E, Area H, Area U, Area T, world Bank, Ikenegbu, egbu, Akwakuma, irete, Musa yaradua, Evan ewerem ......and counting
