Hello house, please I need Ur advice.
Don't be offended for my questions plenty,

I went to do ultrasound scan this morning. I was supposed to be 37 weeks+ but d scan says 35 weeks+.
Please, is there anything to worry about?
I don't know why it reduced

D last time I did ultrasound scan, i was 31 weeks+ and d scan measured 33 weeks. It shows d baby was developing well then.
So, what's now d issue with this result again?

I really want to Port this baby out anytime soon and not to be prolonged any further, I have had so much discomforts. Since 32weeks na so so serious Braxton Hicks contractions here and there, pelvic pressure and anxiety( can't sit nor stand nor lie down comfortably). I was given bed rest and medications to prevent preterm labour then but since I entered 36weeks, I start long walking, eating dates, pineapples and drinking zobo (I was told to drink zobo to avoid overweight baby by family members because the expected baby weight according to last scan was above the range at it's gestational age and again was because I had very much increased appetite than usual and I ate alot)
Now, should I continue taking the above or quit?

Lastly,
I was told by the sonographer result that my baby is in Cephalic and Oblique position (diagonal, like the head is resting on my hip, I think the right side). It's not horizontal and it's not vertical. Exactly what the result said last time I did scan @ 31weeks, and now I'm 37weeks gone. This is my first time
So my concerns are these...:
1. What can I do to aid this oblique position?
2. Is there any sleeping position recommended just for the purpose of turning the baby on time? (I'm asking this because MIL is advising I sleep on my right side, since the baby's head is on my right hip). I sha don't buy that advice.
3. How do I know if he's turning downwards or upwards?
4. What assurance do I have that my baby will be in complete cephalic position before labor as I'm already in 37weeks? undecided

These and many more questions are going through my mind. Please kindly help in answering any of the questions that you have answers to.
Meanwhile my baby is very very active and kicks a lot even as I type. I just hope he's moving to the right direction mbok

At 37 weeks, the major reason for scan is FWB (Foetal wellbeing). Generally if your baby is okay and your amniotic fluid (the water your baby is swimming in) is adequate, then other parameters like dating backwards is really nothing to be concerned about.

Have you shown your doctor the result, what was his response? Secondly, there are other parameters to consider. Again in a layman's language, that measuring tape they use to measure your tummy can also give indication to how many weeks you are... Just show your doctor the results and other parameters will be taken into consideration.

Again, the dating backwards is really nothing to be concerned about unless otherwise stated by your doctor.

I experienced this 3 months ago when i had my LO. You need to go to the hospital so they can check if your cervix is opened. Continuous draining of liquor is not good for the baby. From my experience, i was draining but cervix wasn't opened and stimulation didn't work. I was eventually taken in for emergency CS to save the baby whose breathing pattern has changed.

Good afternoon everyone.

Always consult your physician for anything and everything, especially because of your peculiarity. If you should stop, your doctor will tell you. But you will most likely stop taking it about 13-14 weeks.

Sorry about your bed rest. Just manage till your doctor clear you. It will end in praise. Pele. I may understand a bit of how you feel. Just manage.

It's a matter of time.

Thank you so much, I went to the hospital and was given for another 2 weeks. I didn't meet the previous doctor, met a new one and explained everything and she said I should continue taking it. They didn't run further test

B.S! B.S!
Wow, so it's finally my turn to share a birth story? God is good o.
***clears throat**, *blows air into the microphone*
I got married to the love of my life on 10th April, 2021 although my husband was doing as if he's not interested in babies but me i was abeg. So I guess i was the only one TTCing and since na only me know my fertile window i always journey down to visit hubby with the hope of getting pregnant. I started the TTC journey in June, 2021, kept trying every month until November last year when my mind don commot for the whole thing. I blamed my inability to conceive on the fact that i was living far apart from hubby because of work. So I decided to stop trying till maybe after December, 2021 when i intended resigning from my place of work to re-unite with my husband and then start trying again. But to the glory of God I did not see my Dec period o. I lost it in November but realized it in the first week of Dec. that was how my preggy journey began...
*Sips a cup of juice**
*FIRST TRIMESTER* First trimester got me wondering if I was actually pregnant because I waited earnestly for all the signs and symptoms and morning sickness. But I was disappointed, none showed. No spitting, no vomiting, no too much sleep, no headaches, no sickness, nothing at all except for excessive hunger. I wasn't the eating type before conception but I tripled my food intake and I just couldn't endure hunger for one minute. I eat before leaving the house, I carry plenty food to work and I'll eat dinner twice before sleeping. It was that terrible. I had a threatened miscarriage at 12weeks when I was almost done with the first trimester. To God be the glory my baby chose to stay with me and I decided to register for antenatal immediately.
*SECOND TRIMESTER* This was supposed to be the almighty honeymoon stage but trust me I did not see any honey in the moon as excessive hunger dealt with me continuously. It was very smooth except for the hunger and the weakness that comes with the hunger.
*THIRD TRIMESTER* This stage sincerely for me was a mixture of excitement and fear as I didn't know what to expect but I was hopeful and diligent in obeying the dos and don't of pregnancy. Like taking of routine drugs, consumption of fruits and vegetables etc... Let me also add that the third trimester stage brought some changes in my life like promotion at work place, new and better job for hubby etc. I finally travelled in the last week of July to go meet my husband and to prepare to welcome our baby.
I actually thought my baby would come at 38weeks. (Whatever gave me the assurance) but he didn't. 38wks + to 40wks+ was the hardest time to wait, I was disappointed, angry and anxious coupled with incessant calls from friends and family asking "you don born". Mtcheeew. So annoying

*Fast forward to the delivery*
40wks+5days contraction became more frequent, so I decided to call the hospital to complain. I was asked to come and be checked. I happily dressed up and was hoping I would call hubby from the hospital to bring bag but I was disappointed, they said I was having a false labor. I angrily went home. But the contractions didn't stop. It kept increasing and became more intensed. I sha prepared myself incase of emergency. Hubby got home from work that evening, I told him we might be going to the hospital that night. We already made arrangements with a driver that will carry us to the hospital. The contractions grew stronger and stronger by the minutes and by 2am we left for the hospital. As we got to the hospital, na so one nurse wey no get fear of God wan frustrate us. She no even pity my condition she was busy checking the things I brought and comparing them with the hospital list. "This tissue is small, this cotton wool is not large bla bla bla" after all the blabbing hubby gave her some money she then calm down and I was admitted. I was checked, omo I could swear that I was at least 9cm dilated but noo they said I was only 4cm and I was like "whaaaaaaaaat?"
I was given hot glucose water to be sipping and was told to stand and lean at the pillar at every contraction. I kept awake till 6am. I begged them to check me again, they did and it was just 7cm haaa nawa o. I guess I didn't have a fast labor. The contractions were back to back and didn't stop till 4pm when I started shouting that I wanted to poo lol. All of a sudden I felt my water broke. It poured out once with speed and then my mum in law who later joined me in the hospital rushed and called the nurses and I was hurried into the labor room. They checked and said I was fully dilated and I should let them know whenever it feels like I want to poo. They fixed the drip and other things needed for the project. Lol. I started shouting again "I wantu poo o" the woman asked me to go ahead and poo. I pushed, nothing came out. She said if I want to poo I should hold my ankle and look at my navel (belly button) and then poo. I obeyed. The next push my baby was out crying his lungs out. Sincerely I didn't believe it because I thought we were just starting the labor process so I was expecting to hear "the head is out, push harder etc" but surprisingly two unserious pushes brought out my baby with a little tear. The stitching of that tear happened to be the biggest pain I've ever felt all my life. Afterwards I stood up and was escorted by nurses who were singing my praise and carrying my baby. We went back to the ward, they laid baby beside me, I didn't bother looking at my baby's face. I only laid down on my bed and cried. After much consolation from MIL I then remembered to look at my baby's face and behold the most beautiful creature I've ever seen. He has a very deep dimple like his dad. What more can I say?
To God be the glory. Great things he has done.
Indeed we went, we saw and we have conquered. We are 1 week old today.
Thank you beautiful Mamas and Papas for the show of love and concern during those days that seemed like months. I'm really grateful.
Throwing baby dusts to all TTC mums and swift delivery to all the waddling mamas. The God wey do am for me, go do am for you too.
Thank you everyone.
**Signing out of August, 2022. We'll meet again in 2024. Lol.
BS submitted @Cappo Sassy256

Omo!! na me get this B.S? grin
Where are my team members that year? 2024 don dey go ooo

Hhmmmnnnn. Calm down Momma, you'll be fine.

As I often hear, cut down your salt intake, try not to be nervous or thinking.

I will also say you should manage and listen to your doctor. It may not be convenient but just manage.

And lastly, pray to your God to perfect all that concern you

Goodmorning Mamas, please I need your inputs. I am a few weeks pregnant and I feel very constipated to the degree that my lower abdomen is tight and swollen as I am unable to completely empty my bladder. I did try push and strained a little when I felt the urge and in the process may have hurt my anus ( apologies for the TMI) I have been taking a lot of water, going for walks and even took hot water this morning to no avail. I can't even sit properly due to the anal pain. Pls has anyone experienced this or have a solution to this issue? Thank you.

Good morning everyone, please I need your urgent advise
My wife is 6 months pregnant this is her first pregnancy, I just move in to a new environment and I did some research and settle for a private hospital close to my new residence majorly because of distance, we both went to register at the hospital and they attend to us very well and they've been consistent with how deal with us, yesterday my brother in law called to advise me concerning going to government hospital to at least get their card and allow her to give birth in the government hospital if possible, his reason was that Government hospital usually have experience medical practitioner and best hands in cases of emergency, basically he is more concern perhaps if the situation get serious when she is about to deliver and trust government hospital to handle it more
Here is the issue, my wife prefer the private hospital and also belive everything will pounce out well, which I believe distance is the major reason, she doesn't want to go through the stress of going to the government hospital for antenatal which is likely every week and part of my area road is quiet bad which is not really good for her health, the question now is should we go with what my brother in law said or stick with the private hospital, i myself all i care is for my child and wife well being before and after the delivery, however she is 6 months gone already, don't even know if going there to register at this stage will look somehow at the government hospital, please your advise is needed am new to this system

Dear OP, I have never delivered in a public hospital. I always have low risk pregnancy. It's the nurses that guide me during delivery after doctor has given clearance to delivery ward in the private hospital I use.

Hi Caleb, congrats in advance to you and wifey

1. Ultimately, the decision on what facility to use depends on you and your wife. Considering mobility options available to you in case of emergencies, distance is a good factor to consider in making a choice

2. Though you did not mention costs, some others opt for government facility because they are not as expensive as the private.

3. Yes, there are experienced and competent practitioners in the govt hospital but if you have also made enquiries about the private facility to be sure they have good and capable hands, then you’re good to go!

Make your choice and be at peace with it ✌️

My dear it is well, your almost there. Battled with this preterm contraction of a thing. Refused admission twice sef reason being no one to stay with me and couple with two kids to take care of. Had to be placed on drugs to take cause the couldn't figure out what was causing it and it wasn't the almighty UTI. Last Las,baby was brought out at 37weeks cause she was breech sef.
