Suspension in the Senate means a Senator will not be allowed to attend the plenary and will be prohibited from attending committee meetings and participating in oversight functions. His Salary, allowances and all entitlements will be blocked. A senator is a representative of his constituents; they are the ones who voted for him to represent them at the national level. Why should fellow senators suspend a senator thereby preventing him from carrying out legislative duties which his constituents sent him there to do?

Senators suspending their fellow senator because they do not agree with him on an issue should not be allowed by law. Why prevent him from carrying out his legislative duty when u didn't vote him into senate in the first place?
