bassdow:why not just buy a MIST fan ? At least use am do poor Man's AC If only the mist fans work bro🤣🤣. They don't, from reviews that I've heard. If you know of any that really works, let me know. Thank you. I'd just increase the panels. |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by icjunior(m): 9:57am On Mar 14 |
Drgreatone: Yeah,na to increase panels. Thanks |

icjunior: One thing I would say is, they are Fragile, hence quick to go bad BUT in hands of people like me, na those bad Ones me dey find. if you're in Lagos / ogun state, why not bring it so I deal with it. |

Dam5reey:I am not doubting you. I just like to ensure my inverter's continuous load isnt more than 30 to 40%. With his load of over 1800watts, thats 50% continuous load not including if any appliance has a surge rating |

icjunior: Thanks so much for your response, how has the Smarten inverter been serving you? Is it a good brand? Also, is it hybrid? You mean that when you get home in the night, you are still able to put on your fridge for 3 hours? I never knew 2.5kva inverter can take iron, I was advised not to use iron, dats good news for me. Which brand of battery and solar panel are you using? |

Good afternoon house, I have a 24v set up of 2*250ah Luminous tubular batteries, 45A felicity Mppt CC. I have 300w * 6 solar panels (just ordered 2 more panels and will install by weekend) mounted on the roof and at peak period I get like 600w, 25ahms on the Charge Controller. Am I getting the best out of the 6 panels with the reading reported above? if not, what do I need to do to get more from the Panels. Thank you. N.B The panel charges my former 200 ahms battery to float everyday with load but it hasn't been able to do same with the new 250ahms battery with the same load as before. |

bassdow: Bro I'm using 2 310w panel on my 12v and it works well |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 8:43pm On Mar 14 |
mvphenryeto5:The solar Panel is hardly the issue. it's the type of charge controller in use. If it's MPPT, you have no issue BUT if it's those overtly cheap PWM charge controllers, oga e go disturb you. Some go work normal till sun resume full duty, then e go begin misBehave. |

mvphenryeto5: Mppt charge controller? |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by icjunior(m): 10:03pm On Mar 14 |
adibo: Chief🤣 Using iron is at users discretion o. I only use it especially during the weekends when sunlight is up up,the iron is the old Philips and not beyond 900w, still it isn't advisable. The smarten 2.5kva has been in use for 11months now,no stories and no,it is not a hybrid. I can't assure you of it's durability since it's just a basic inverter, but so far it has been good. I use jinko panels from fouani and I get excellent yields from them,I've gotten close to 98% yield. I use powmr 60A mppt charger. And yes I use 2hrs on my fridge at night also. 11am - 4pm during the day. 1am - 3am at night with just the standing fan. The idea behind this is to have atleast 45% of battery at sunrise. |

Parser: Thanks for the advice, so any downside using solar without battery? |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Drgreatone: 8:08am On Mar 15 |
jasp12:U need battery connected to it regardless. At least for the sms. Tried it and it kept going off anytime the solar output went low/off |

Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Drgreatone: 8:14am On Mar 15 |
bigsecsyde:Ur solar harvest looks poor, 600watts from 1800w panels seems low. Instead of adding panels, u sud find the fault first. How were the panels connected? Is it even facing the right direction? Is it exceeding the max pv volt of ur charge controller? U are using bigger batteries now which wud require more charging time, than the previous 200amp battery, depending on ow much u discharge it. |

Hello House, I will be moving to Nigeria for 2 months and working from Nigeria, I would like to get a solar panel setup that would provide at least 12 hours for my laptop, phones and 1 2HP AC. Thank you. |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by TechGeek777: 11:48am On Mar 15 |
Drgreatone: Not just SMS, any inverter will go off if the load is more than what the panels are producing. |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by emmaniche: 2:39pm On Mar 15 |
Drgreatone:I think its a region or amount of sunshine. Have similar setup and the max I've gotten this period is 22amps. Just myv2 cents. |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by mctfopt: 3:01pm On Mar 15 |
clogogo: The 2HP AC you have will 4x the cost. 1 Like |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Drgreatone: 6:21pm On Mar 15 |
emmaniche:How many volt system? How many watts from ur panel? I have a 24v system with 1200watts of panel connected 2s2p and i get btw 700 and 900 watts using a 60amp mppt. |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by emmaniche: 7:23pm On Mar 15 |
Drgreatone:Mine is all parallel. 24v. What part of Nigeria are u? |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Trippledots(m): 7:38pm On Mar 15 |
Anyone know where I can get direct source for Deye 3phase 50kva hybrid inverter? Thanks |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Drgreatone: 8:00pm On Mar 15 |
emmaniche:That's what's causing ur low yield. You are using an Mppt not a pwm so why parallel all? Who did ur installation for u? For the powmr which i think u are using, max mppt voltage for 24v system is 105v so for me using 4 300w panels with pmax of 43v, I did 2 strings of 2 panels in series and then parallel both. U need a higher voltage input to enjoy ur mppt. |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by sirrotex: 8:03pm On Mar 15 |
Hello. Kindly enlighten me on how one can know the yield from his panels icjunior: |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by emmaniche: 8:07pm On Mar 15 |
Drgreatone:K. Actually have a 60A zinox mppt. U mean it sud be 2x31v in series and parallel the 3 sets. Correct? |
