@ Prospa , Did this lady say more than this on Twitter during the election ? Like did she call Tinubu drug baron or say any other things he may find offensive aside from these tweets ? I'm asking because of that Bosun Tijani case ni o

BlueRayDick: The Presidency just dey do nonsense and its embarrassing. The lady has the right to vote for whoever she wants in the first place, that right is guaranteed under the constitution. She's obviously competent enough to have appointed her in the first place, announce it to the public and then go ahead to withdraw the appointment based on guaranteed right to vote for whoever she wants. Just yesterday, the President was telling the Governors that its time for Governance and not politics and then go ahead to do this, how will the Governors even take him serious on that? Simple background and due diligence would've avoided this if they dont want to appoin someone that voted for the opposition (it's not like they havent been appointing oppositions anyways) and save the lady from the unnecessary embarrassment of stepping down her nomination after making it public. Nonsense. 1 Like |

larride: Was Bosun not an Obidient If they don't want to pick opposition then they should do better background checks |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 5:44am On Mar 15 |
larride: I checked the lady's LinkedIn and I see she ticks the box of who can actually call " technocrat " in the real sense of it. I believe whoever recommended her in the presidency means well. Now the fact that her nomination was pushed and then about to be withdrawn shows there are people in the presidency who value politicking more than actually keep the country going . If Bosun who actually had "not so nice words " for Tinubu in the past got a ministerial job, it leaves less to be desired that forces are working against this woman and they are even doing it when cat has already been let out of the bag. If na only APC members or supporters they want to get appointed into key government posts , then we can as well conclude that Tinubu's government has failed before it even started . 1 Like |

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by larride(m): 5:52am On Mar 15 |
raumdeuter: Yes. It's a simple sturvs. Normally governance should be about picking the most competent people to help your govt succeed. You cant turn every appointment into a political jamboree. If Bosun can get it, Dr Ruby should also get it. |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by larride(m): 5:57am On Mar 15 |
BlueRayDick: Bosun case is a lil different has the guy was recommended by those that have strong Tinubu backing. I want to believe whoever backed/nominated her no too get strong backing like that. Bosun was rumored to be nominated by Senator Abiru and Yayi, both Abiru and Yayi stood strong for him, that's why even with all the outburst on Twitter and in NASS, nothing happened to his nomination. You cannot be calling for a govt of national unity and then turn around to do something like this. It's an embarrassment to the President and govt he leads. It's either a government of national unity or a govt of APC, for APC and APC alone. |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 6:10am On Mar 15 |
larride: Exactly ! Optics matters in a plural society like Nigeria . If as a government u have an image that portrays u as one that don't like to work with opposition , a government that goes after those that worked for the previous govt ( within same party ) , a government that the Fulani/Hausa stock feel left out and a government the masses are groaning under ; omo u will spend most of ur tenure fighting enemies u inadvertently created o. |

liveLongNprospa:It even turns out she wasn't the first person he nominated for the position, there was one other person he nominated, but he had to decline because there'd be a conflict of interest with his consultancy role in the world bank. I'm sure he must have thought the man would jump at the offer so didn't even bother to consult him before announcing his name. |
