Lagos-based Chess Academy Founder, Tunde Onakoya, has achieved a remarkable feat in Germany, winning against 10 opponents simultaneously and setting a new record.

During a recent conference in Germany, Onakoya participated in a competitive event where he faced off against ten opponents simultaneously. Engaging in dynamic chess matches, he played against each player for about two hours, effortlessly defeating all of them.

Onakoya's primary goal was to raise funds for his foundation, supporting the education of a hundred children. After the intense competition, he proudly shared his victory on the X platform, expressing gratitude for the support received.

"On day two of the DLD conference, I played a simultaneous chess match against 10 players," Onakoya shared. "After an almost two-hour battle of wits, I managed to win all the games."

The chess exhibition not only showcased Onakoya's exceptional skills but also contributed significantly to supporting the education of children in his academy.

Good one. Perhaps I'd one day be able to win 10 out of my 12 if I practise more.

Avoid men that play chess games, they are very stingy and manipulative.
Marry them and your mental health is at stake

Lol

You don't have to profile all that way.
Your analogy is wrong Sha.

That's why I said you shouldn't profile all chess player to be "Manipulative and stingy"
We all have our natural flaws. I'm sure you not an exception.

But people do tell you that you are wicked, right?

The crazy thing is that many people who don't play chess don't realize how much of a low effort this took. For a number of reasons:

-the participants were very weak players, obviously. They were merely participants at a conference, not seasoned chess players.
-the game wasn't timed. It's not blitz, so there was enough time to think as he moved from board to board.
-he is a much higher ranked player than most of those around the table.

This is no feat, honestly. If he did this against international masters at a tourney or against grandmasters, then I'll give him some props. But these are just amateurs who possibly played chess as a hobby, while the guy himself is a seasoned chess player. It's nothing to win all those games.

If he's so confident about his simulateanous chess, let him arrange against international masters, or at least go represent Nigeria at Tata Steel Chess.

Finally, there is no record here. In December 2016, Timur Gareyev played 48 people simultaneoudly while blindfolded. Think about that, he had 48 games in his head while he couldn't see any of the chess boards. He still managed to win 35 games, drew 7 draws and lost 6. Now, let's see him match that.

Nigerians are just uninformed about the chess. They think this is a record! grin
