It's democracy and it's against human right to kill unarmed civilians and destroy property in the name of revenge. It doesn't matter who drew first blood, you don't attack unarmed civilians.

In every community, there will always be some level of bad blood however that doesn't mean the whole community is bad so there is no justification to kill or destroy the community. There is something called man hunt and that is what the soldiers are meant to do. Boko Haram have been killing soldiers on daily basis yet they release them in the name of repentance.
