I can't wait for 3mb to be fully opened. there are some nice trips i'll see on indrive going to the island but when I remember the stress it will take to come back to the mainland i will just let it go...I spent 2hours last week from Osborne to oshodi.

Omo...if u accepted 6k VI to Mainland on indrive this evening, I am sorry for your loss.

If you ask them now
They'll say it was destination trip... destination trip or not, somethings are just wrong. Riders don't know it was a destination trip, they'll go ahead and tell their friends and families they carried for 6k yesterday and that's how low-balling continues

Bolt is getting so useless this days with their long pickups, they are loosing drivers everyday.

I doubt if they will have upto 1000 drivers left on their platform in Lagos

so what's your advice for a driver that's going home and haven't seen any trip? he should just drive home empty because no one is willing to pay 100k like bolt for a 2hours trip?

I have observed that Taxi drivers in my city will prefer to drive empty than carry you at a lower price. When you stay on the road for an hour, next time you'll come out with more money.

Yes, I'd rather that than join in spoiling the hustle (even though e don spoil finish sha). I almost always never compromise on indrive because traffic is not factored in, then indrive riders are the absolute worst when it comes to punctuality.
You'll get to pick up in time, next thing you're waiting 20 something minutes for them to come out, when they eventually do come out it's to drop bag in the car and go back inside (that's if they don't tell you "Ha! I forgot o, I've followed my friend"wink. Then when you eventually start trip, they want to stop at black bell to buy food (I'll top up your fare), when you finally end trip the top up fit no pass rounding 5400 up to 6k for you.

Your trip go come, na patience.

Far less new drivers are coming in and it's easy to see why. Cars are expensive.

There used to be a time on this thread when staying for hours without a trip was the norm. The business was overly saturated because any one with 600k can buy a Civic or Kia Rio and put on ehailing.

I don't think demand is what is causing increased rides these days, I think it's reduced supply of cars.

I prefer to blow empty from VI to Berger rather than carry rubbish price on Indrive.

I just dey reach Lekki since 6pm that I left CMD road. Still going to Pinnoch Beach Estate. Imagine if this was Indrive. The traffic started after Anthony just like the normal traffic on that route.
I just dey vex! but at least I will get extra 6k on top my fare, better than zero naira extra plus HBP

Maybe we need to start taking screenshots of these useless long pickups and be posting them on social media.

My acceptance rate is currently at 48 percent. Few more rejections to bite the dust.

Bolt still remains the only App that forces drivers to accept trips

You feel Indrive gives you a good run for your money than Uber?

Recently, I heard Uber now shows destination without conditions and no more penalties for refusing to pick a trip. grin, they waited too long.

You are right , a lot of drivers have left them. I see a lot of drivers on Indrive riders page recently and the rate at which the new drivers ( probably from Bolt) pick trips without bidding is amusing grin...

I'm like these ones are new drivers, they don't understand the game yet.

The thing is ,if you are using Indrive, one needs to be strategic.
There's no financial gain diving headlong into lagos traffic on a fixed fare (esp from an island to mainland perspective).

If I miss the window ( 2pm to 3pm) to quickly cross back to the mainland using 3MB.. I don't bid for mainland trips again unless I get someone who is willing to accept the highest bid offer.

Instead, I engage short trips mode. If I'm supposed to get like 10k to cross to the mainland. I start looking for that amount through 3- 4 trips starting from V.I. n I don't go beyond phase 1. V.i - phase1, - Oniru. 2.5k - 3k trips with ETA of less than 20 mins.
So instead of spending time in traffic on 3mb. I use that time to get same amount shuttling btw V..I and phase 1. By the time I'm through, I'm already resting and traffic on 3MB would have drastically abated.

It was terrible grin... I usually follow town planning to Pedro to inside Shomolu to Jibowu which is most times very smooth, getting to Jibowu na so map dey show 45minutes faster following Iddo to Carter bridge, I don't know if it was smart move as, I shuke head grin. But Oyingbo bridge was terrible. CMS another wahala. Reason you have to know when to switch between these apps. Imagine someone on indriver experience such yesterday. MRB!!

well. I noticed their surge prices was now fixed, I complained on 3 different trips in one day after seeing how poor it was(even the riders were surprised when they saw how little they had to pay). After few minutes of complaining to uber they replied all my complaints with "you got the right amount for the trip". when I decided enough was enough was when I went to island after they closed the bridge and spent 2hours plus and was asked to collect 7100. As I said, I switched to indrive and so far so good...it might not be the same for everyone, but for me I'm enjoying it. Also, i don't frequent the mechanic workshop like before.
