This is one of the 11 power plants built by the Obasanjo administration and completed by the Jonathan administration, yet some m0rons lied that they spent $16 billion with nothing to show for it.

All the above mentioned power plants are Goodluck's power plants. Baba shege has nothing to his name.

Bros thanks for pointing out this. Goodluck tried such much with these massive projects. If only Buhari did not play the dirty politics he could have see them through. I was privilege to work in three of the project in Abia, Rivers and Imo states

What?, $16billion to generate a mere 3,000MW?, are you a slowpoke?, are you from a lineage of thieves?

Mk Una dae talk with sense small. You should be thanking Tinubu for removing power from executive list, making states have the ability to generate and transmit their own power

Thank nonsense!

Who said Igbos are not united?see the unity of purpose among Igbos, trying to put the entire South East on a speed lane of development....something big is happening, posterity will certainly be on our side!God's willing.

When will this victimization mentality stop ?
Your Igbo leaders have been governing you guys badly but you blame everything on FG , lol at otti laying good example for other south Eastern leaders to emulate but still want to turn everything about fighting and chest beating.

Please let us give credit to whom credit is due, whatever is happening in Abia in particular and SE, in general, has the blessing of Mr President; otherwise, it will not see the light of day.

What Shettima was trying to say is, when Igbos rule, Nigeria will work.

How else can a tribe who have not held power be getting 24/7 electricity, be the back bone of Nigeria economy but Nigeria prefer herdsmen and agbado to be their president?

Nigeria poverty capital of the world is a choice. Nigeria hunger capital of the world is a choice. Nigeria generator republic is a choice. No electricity is a choice.

It is Igbo turn to produce our president of Nigeria.

The plant was built under the FG-conceived National Integrated Power Project (NIPP) and commissioned in 2015. The plant is owned by the Niger Delta Power Holding Company which also manages:

Olorunsogo Power Plant, Ogun
Gbarain Power Plant, Bayelsa
Ihovbor Power Plant, Edo
Omoku Power Plant, Rivers
Egbema Power Plant, Imo
Sapele Power Plant, Delta
Omotosho Power Plant, Ondo
Calabar Power Plant, Cross River
Geregu Power Plant, Kogi (built under NIPP and sold in 2013)

Your point is invalid as the planned upgrade is a Federal Government intervention.

Exactly!...Because it is located in Abia state doesn't make it the state's project.

Gov Otti is a product of Lagos. What you see is a man that lived in Lagos and under governance and bringing the same to the South East. Soludo is a Lagos product. Do not be fooled..God cannot be mocked. Gov. Otti did not live all his life in Abia. Google or FactCheck me Lol.

Otti earned an MBA degree from the University of Lagos in 1994.

Thereafter he moved to the then Nigerian Intercontinental Merchant Bank Ltd. While at Intercontinental Bank, he worked both in the treasury and financial services unit as well as the corporate banking division. In 1992, he joined Societe Bancaire Nigeria Limited (Merchant Bankers), a subsidiary of Banque SBA Paris where he rose to the position of a senior manager. He moved on to the United Bank for Africa (UBA)[9] as the principal manager overseeing the bank’s corporate banking sector for the entire South Division with the responsibility of growing the oil and gas business for the bank. In May 2001, he joined First Bank of Nigeria, PLC as assistant general manager in with the sole responsibility of growing the Energy Sector for the bank....

All in All, the Success in Aba, Abia is a Nigeria Success Story...so we celebrate.

Alaoji, Egbema, Ihovbor, Gbaran were all NIPP projects instituted by Baba Shege. Sapele has only two turbines out of six operational.

Chrome Group abi EEDC only supervised maintenance they are not Gencos! Everything is not about propaganda, there are people with first hand knowledge in this forum. My only prayer is that Alaoji starts operating at full capacity because it has been operational all these years.

I was wondering, too.

I know Alaoji. A company I worked with a few years back was supervising some works at the Alaoji transmission substation.....I was like...."is there a new plant there again?"

Ọmọ......Obasanjo really worked o......
