Cindypresh:How many Americans have you seen kill their own soldiers and behead them? Americans reverence their soldiers but we disrespect ours despite them putting their lives on the line daily for us ordinary civilians to enjoy peace. Those guys had the temerity to kill serving officers in non combat situation. Those guys killed about 16 soldiers amongst whom are a Lt. Colonel, 2 Majors and a Captain. What the soldier said is clear.... I protect good people and I destroy bad people. He who lives by the sword dies by the sword. Simple 2 Likes 1 Share |

komekn: Illiterate or not, Soldiers are ruled by military codes and must first be dismissed and de badged before they can by tried by a civilian Court. This is the case everywhere. These military codes and practices are also under the laws of Nigeria ranking pari passu with civil law. As such they are part and parcel of the rule of law. They are not inferior or subservient to the civil law - they run parallel to it because they come from the same source - the National Assembly. Please see the Armed Forces Act 2004 Who is the illiterate now? |

Jayhome24:Have you asked yourself what is the business of the military with peace meeting? So all the civil authorities in the area couldn't do a peace meeting except the military? That's the crux of the problem because the military will probably go there to issue orders and not mediate. 3 Likes |

Some ppl here are irresponsible and very stupid, they are ignorants of what is happening in the north and yet they want to open dia smelly mouth talk anyhow. No community in the north get mind to kill soldiers the way this deltans did, We in the north respect soldiers and always put our country nigeria first, We still get respect for our nigerian police, etc. The reverse is the case in the South, especially in the SE and SS. How can you just kill soldiers on peace keeping mission in ur area and just go free. Ask them (community) how many so called community youth are down by now? You must collect. 1 Like 2 Shares |

Jayhome24:You are the stupid one, go and kill them, while the Fulani militia is raping the spineless army day and and night and you are here threatening innocent civilians, bunch of emasculating paedophiles whose is only happy shooting innocent civilians. Cowards and tactless sense of morons. The army should have leveled sokoto or borno. How many soldiers have died in borno? Sokoto? Niger? Kastina? They are slaughtered and nobody says phemmmm....when they get to the fisherman's colony the spineless army will want to teach civilians how to use force... nonsense 3 Likes 1 Share |

Criminals among them did. They need to be fished out and brought to book not kill everything in sight like bloodthirsty cultists |

Cindypresh: BH is a terrorist organization that does not legitimately own property in Nigeria so your example is faulty. But even then their hideouts are routinely burned. Let me repeat this village will cease to exist. If any part of Nigeria wants to flex, they will know that Nigeria can flex more than them. Is Orlu not quiet today? An attack on Federal troops is an attack on the sovereignty of Nigeria and its troops are permitted to engage with extreme prejudice. This is why you do not see American troops operating on US soil. If they do - watch out. These stupid ritualists masquerading as vilagers will be taught the lesson of their lives. None of your carping here will change anything. 1 Like 2 Shares |

While I completely and strongly condemn the killings of our soldiers in Delta, this mumu should go and find seat to sit down. The Nigerian Army should have a social media policy to rein in these uneducated boys that they recruit from becoming a burden on its image. Is he the spokesperson of the Army? Is he trained in public relations in order to weigh his words before spewing them? Such a shame that a tout is abusing the uniform of the army. The killers of those soldiers must face the laws of the land. May their souls rest in peace. 2 Likes |

Kukutente23: You are confusing things. Military law only applies to civilians. But it also applies to force confrontations . If a civilian attacks an army formation using lethal weapons in a systematic manner ( we arent talking road rage or adultery here) military law permits tactical responses when soldiers are attacked. In this case they were shot at, beheaded and had body parts gouged out of their bodies. The army will not call the police and go to court. They will take out the enemy - civilian or not. Are bandits not civilians by day? |

ComeToJesus:This is exactly my point of view.... Very unprofessional. I remembered during my service year, we were told as corp members not to grant or appear on any interview with the NYSC uniform because it is illegal. It is surprising how things just changed. Again, the killers of those soldiers must face the law and be persecuted accordingly. 3 Likes |

Which bandits shot down an airforce craft? What proof do you have for such. If you are going to be a terrorist live in the bush not in a village or the city where you have parents and family. You cannot attack the NA and start crying civilian afterwards. In 1981 the Nigerian Army entered Chad a sovereign country when Maitastine bandits killed Nigeria Army soldiers and entered Chad. That is called the doctrine of "hot pursuit" and is permitted in international law. How much more some ritualistic bandits in a Nigerian village who kill Nigerian soldiers, behead them and took out body parts. There is no hypocrisy. Moral? Fight individual soldiers if they wrong you. But do not attack them with heavy weapons, kill them and debase their bodies. The only thing that will be standing where that village is now is a forward operating base - you can call it a barracks. I know all the ipob emergency lovers of Nigeria will start bleating. This is not 1966 and there is nothing called Police Action as Gowon unwisely did back then. Now its instant retribution. |
