Have you considered that the successful musicians had/have great managers who understood the BUSINESS of music? It’s beyond talent. There’s marketing, branding, accounting… you get the drift. Not everything is spiritual. Freshtruth: 6 Likes |

There's music and there's music business. Davido and portable understand music business they both are not to good musically speaking Spirituality still dey sha. Good Music management Company also helps artists, Example check out the standard of music of 2face under kennis music and check out the standard when 2face left kennis music 2 face na legend but you'll notice his quality and standard of music was better under kennis music 4 Likes |

OP, Nothing like Spirituality there. As a Boy, you must be SMART and PLAN Adequately before leaving your Master, to be become Independent. Before Wizkid left Banky W in early 2013, he had already Made serious Music connections with all the Producers and DJs in Lagos! Before Olamide left ID Cabassa, he had Already done same.🙂 The Likes of Lil Kesh, Reekardo Banks, Mayorkun and others were POOR Planners!😕 They thought having 200 or 400million in their Accounts was enough to keep them Relevant in the Music Industry.😒 6 Likes 2 Shares |

The Artist Don't have the means to much PR compared to When they were in their record labels .... Record labels has much Outreaches Than Single Artists ... .... We hear them because Their Label keep pushing them Across All Channels With Heavy Monies but once you are Out There on Your Own, I Doubt! 6 Likes 1 Share |

Freshtruth: Nothing like Jazz. Wizkid may not have Hits these Days but some of those his Soft-tune Songs he sings nowadays has listeners in places, abroad. While Davido is still Popular in Nigeria, as he collabos with any Trending Artiste.🙂 |

Its about team work, Nigerians don't believe in teamwork. All the usa big artist are still under record label including Rihanna. You can't be marketer, producer, distributor, social media manager and musician at the same time and expect things to work. Also, poverty alleviation is the major reason why most of these musicians went into music and not for passion, their story is usually the same, from ajekunle to lekki. Making 200m was above their expectations so they go solo and believes they already have more than enough then the drive and inspiration is no longer there until the money is finished and their season has passed. 1 Like |

The difference is "CONTENT". Most of these artists spent their formative years fine-tuning some content, those contents brought them popularity and deals. Developing other meaningful contents became a problem immediately they left their record labels. Take 2face for instance, he is not a good song writer, he should have humbled himself and team up with blackface and other good writers to get good songs, instead, he continues to depend on his poor song writing skills. When you have poor content with no resources to promote the poor content, people easily forget you. Davido has very poor content but extra large pocket to promote it, his songs don't last in the airwave but he already has new content coming up to replace the fading ones, unlike others. 1 Like 1 Share |

GodHimself:brother everything is still packaged under spiritualism don't let anybody deceive you music is deep..I will give you tips that you should study America music very well and see deep about the spiritualism they depicts, this guy is right..Music resonate our soul and anything that has the power to influence human soul is spiritual not natural. I study physics and I studied about sound wave which is propagate medium is wind and can you see wind? any sounds can influence human soul thereby it can modify and register some quota in our mind and soul 2 Likes |

I understand and I agree. However the way the OP framed it isn’t in the sense of frequencies and vibrations like you just described. If we use your example, we can say the artists that leave record labels, leave the frequencies/vibrations that ensured their success without replacing those frequencies. The successful artists replaced those label frequencies with even better frequencies. Using your example, all of life is spiritual. alimiadedayo1: 1 Like |
