Michael547: So where did you see "...in heaven" from? If you answer this first we will continue. So before Jesus came to the earth, how did the father have a greater rank? If the father did not have a greater rank while Jesus was in heaven, why is he given the title 'son'? |

Emusan:Oga the pics below is my question about the structure of the Trinity in heaven before Jesus came to the earth and after he went back to heaven. Did you deny that there was no 'Son' in heaven? Or are you insinuating that the 'son' here does not refer to Jesus? My question remains: So before Jesus came to the earth, how did the father have a greater rank? If the father did not have a greater rank while Jesus was in heaven, why is he given the title 'son'?

Michael547: Provide the full screenshot of that my post Let's if lack of simple comprehension is not in play here. Modified! It was not on that screenshot but on that screenshot I said the first part of your post has been answered. Which is what I answered with the screenshot below.

When Jesus talks about the Only True God, He includes Himself in the definition of that God. Jesus does not have an existence outside of God. Jesus is the Word of God made flesh: John 1:1-4 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. That is why Jesus said that the Son must be honoured in the same way that the Father is to be honoured: That all may honor the Son, just as they honor the Father" John 5:23. Steep: 1 Like |

Michael547: I've modified my post read it again. With that I never used the phrase "...in heaven" Just admit you inserted that by yourself. |

TruthHurts1:How come the only Almighty true God who is Jesus says that the father is greater than him in John 14:28. And that he does not know the hour of Judgment in Matt 24:36? |

Emusan:Ok oo mr Modifier......what is the structure of the Trinity in heaven now? |
Re: If Jesus Calls The Father " The Only True God" Does That Mean Jesus Is Not God? by Michael547(m): 1:16pm On Mar 21 |
Emusan:Oga that question was not directed at you....it is directed at your fellow Trinitarians, Mr truthhurts and mr steep, who have been surprisingly contradicting your own understanding of the trinity saying that Jesus was Almighty God on earth. |

Re: If Jesus Calls The Father " The Only True God" Does That Mean Jesus Is Not God? by Emusan(m): 1:29pm On Mar 21 |
Michael547: He said this: "Since Jesus is both God and man, the father is greater than him as a man. The father is not in the flesh, so it does not apply to him." If you don't understand what he said, why can't you ask him for further clarification instead of jumping into conclusion on what he didn't say? That's why your screenshot is different from what you said before. |
Re: If Jesus Calls The Father " The Only True God" Does That Mean Jesus Is Not God? by Michael547(m): 1:29pm On Mar 21 |
Emusan:Ok....in your screenshot you agreed that there Is God the Father, the Son and holy Spirit(the son and holy spirit are not referred to as God in heaven) according to you. You also quoted 1 cor 15:28 that says that Jesus would hand over to the father that 'God may be all in all'. Does that mean that the son and the Holy Spirit would no longer be identified? And that we would only have the father? |
Re: If Jesus Calls The Father " The Only True God" Does That Mean Jesus Is Not God? by Michael547(m): 1:32pm On Mar 21 |
Emusan:Oga you are confused....somebody said Jesus was both Almighty God and man while on earth and you are still defending the person. Are you guys not funny? Where does someone start understanding this your trinity from? |
Re: If Jesus Calls The Father " The Only True God" Does That Mean Jesus Is Not God? by Emusan(m): 1:37pm On Mar 21 |
My advice is always put on your thinking cap when reading a post not just to rush and reply, if you don't understand the point nothing wrong in saying 'please clarify what you mean here or there'. Michael547: My usage of God is that it applies to the THREE not the way you put it as "God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit" You also quoted 1 cor 15:28 that says that Jesus would hand over to the father that 'God may be all in all'. Does that mean that the son and the Holy Spirit would no longer be identified? And that we would only have the father? You're still asking the same question using different format. The answer is in the screenshot you provided before check it again. |
Re: If Jesus Calls The Father " The Only True God" Does That Mean Jesus Is Not God? by Michael547(m): 1:41pm On Mar 21 |
Emusan:So if the word God applies to the three, why is the statement 'God the son' and 'God the holy spirit' wrong? Lol...oga how does the old testament describe God? Are you insinuating that God the Father, the Son and holy spirit is not revealed in the old testament? You have still not told me how the father has a higher rank in heaven oo. If he does not have, how come Jesus is given the title 'son' in heaven? |
Re: If Jesus Calls The Father " The Only True God" Does That Mean Jesus Is Not God? by Emusan(m): 1:44pm On Mar 21 |
Michael547: You're the confused one here! Did he make any post after that to clarify or you asked him what he meant by that? So you don't conclude on something until you get clarification on the position of the person. Trinity is very simple to understand, that you are looking for it to be false is where the problem lies. |
Re: If Jesus Calls The Father " The Only True God" Does That Mean Jesus Is Not God? by Michael547(m): 1:47pm On Mar 21 |
Emusan:Oga that statement is direct and clear. Why must there always be an hidden meaning in every of you guys statement? So you that claim that Jesus was not an Almighty God on earth still have an hidden message in that statement? |
Re: If Jesus Calls The Father " The Only True God" Does That Mean Jesus Is Not God? by Emusan(m): 1:53pm On Mar 21 |
You see how it sweet as you are asking your questions and I'm replying accordingly but when I ask my own don't turn your blind eyes and pretend you didn't see it. Michael547: It's wrong as it make it confusing as if They are THREE DIFFERENT GODS, reason why you used DISTINCT GODS(plural) earlier. Lol...oga how does the old testament describe God? The OT described God as someone who sit in heaven but also can be on earth or any other part in the universe, the OT also talks about plurality of ONE GOD and also The OT says God CREATED everything ALL BY HIMSELF. Are you insinuating that God the Father, the Son and holy spirit is not revealed in the old testament? It's not but the idea that God can manifest in many ways were stated in the OT. You have still not told me how the father has a higher rank in heaven oo. If he does not have, how come Jesus is given the title 'son' in heaven? Jesus only became SON on earth which means Jesus was never a SON in heaven. Can you provide the scripture where Jesus was given the TITLE 'SON' IN HEAVEN? |
Re: If Jesus Calls The Father " The Only True God" Does That Mean Jesus Is Not God? by Emusan(m): 1:55pm On Mar 21 |
Michael547: If it's so, then no need for him to came up with the second statement. |
Re: If Jesus Calls The Father " The Only True God" Does That Mean Jesus Is Not God? by Michael547(m): 2:06pm On Mar 21 |
Emusan:Jesus himself Said in John 12:49 that his 'father' sent him to the earth. So why would Jesus obey such a command and refer to God as father if he himself was not a son in heaven before coming to the earth? 1 cor 15:28 that you quoted earlier clearly states what Jesus would do in heaven and refers to him as a 'son' handing over the kingdom to 'God' and 'father'. Did Jesus ever deny himself being a son in heaven? So how are we to understand the plurality of the one God spoken of in the old testament? 1 Like |
Re: If Jesus Calls The Father " The Only True God" Does That Mean Jesus Is Not God? by Michael547(m): 2:10pm On Mar 21 |
Emusan:What second statement? Somebody Said that Jesus was both Almighty God and man on earth and you say he made two statements. Is he saying Jesus being a man invalidate him being the Almighty God on earth? Oga you are the one jumping into conclusion of a discussion that you are not following. |
Re: If Jesus Calls The Father " The Only True God" Does That Mean Jesus Is Not God? by Steep(m): 2:52pm On Mar 21 |
Emusan:I don't disagree with you I only pointed out what they thought they were doing, they thought they were eliminating a threat. And again christ was their enemy because he exposed their evil works so they wanted to eliminate him the more. Human being might think they are protecting themselves by taking a position against God but end up destroying themselves that was the case of the jews that killed christ. |
Re: If Jesus Calls The Father " The Only True God" Does That Mean Jesus Is Not God? by Steep(m): 2:59pm On Mar 21 |
Michael547:He had two natures the nature of God and man at all times but however, he limited himself to his humanity. The fact that he limited himself to his humanity doesn't mean he is not God Almighty. Christ had the full nature of divinity within him all through but operated on the constraint on his humanity. That was why Jesus said the father is greater than he is. |

Re: If Jesus Calls The Father " The Only True God" Does That Mean Jesus Is Not God? by Michael547(m): 3:22pm On Mar 21 |
Steep:So Jesus made himself not to know the hour of judgmentπ......how can someone who has limited himself to the point of saying that the father is greater than himself, still call himself God Almighty while on earth? Does that make sense? How come the nature of man was so powerful that it impeded the full power of the nature of the Almighty God in Christ? |
