I am aware that there are divisions in opinion regarding this practice. However, the truth is masturbation is a sin. It is the spirit of lust in operation.

One may think it is their body but it is not. We have been bought by the blood of Jesus and we belong to God who has taken residence in us as His temple. A person cannot defile God's temple and still lay claim to innocence.

Are you asking of the stories told by your various pastors as opposed to that declared in the Law that is Jesus Christ? Your pastors and mogs are masters at confusion and ambiguity after all... Jesus Christ said this in Matthew 15 vs 1 - 14 and Mark 7 vs 1 - 13.

Anyhow, Jesus Christ never mentioned masturbation but He did point out that in His Kingdom of God, the mere thought of having sexual intercourse with any woman is a sin against God - Matthew 5 vs 27 - 28.

Wow 14 this is really tough at that age? How come? A lot on my mind, but first things first are his parents aware? And how did you get to know about it? Let's start from there before i advice him on what to do.

Anyways, my advice is to seek the help of a private guardian councillor in school who will advice him accordingly and discreet too. Most importantly let him seek the face of God to direct his path as he still has a lot of years ahead of him and should focus all energy on his studies and future. As the Lord says. The flesh killeth but the spirit gives life eternal.

You guys have more important things to discuss at that age than all this ( not condemning you guys tho)

Romans 6:13 — And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.

1 Corinthians 9:27 — But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.

These 2 Scripture verses should suffice to prove otherwise. There are many more.

He is 14 and the least of his concerns should be whether it is sin or not to some deity out there. What he should focus on is developing the necessary self-discipline and self-control to overcome that problem in his life. Where are his parents? Are they aware of their child's problem?
