Leave her and let her go before it is too late to let go. Love no be by force and it's not blind. If you're impotent, I swear, she won't marry you

In most cases you are right, the only reason I can stick with her is when she had sacrificed a lot for the relationship but with a condition to have other options at child bearing if need be. But you see all those ladies saying are you not the man ? It's your responsibility to take care of me, my money is my money and your money is our money I won't even think before taking my decision because I no they are for the money if I go broke they will run and if they can't give birth I will run....This is why you should be resourcesful and don't joke with your partner because you can never know.

It's sad that you are bringing this up here
Why is it sad bringing up the issue here? Nairaland don't have experience doctors as members? , or you think most people have not experienced such personally to educate and guide him properly?
The young man needs to know what he's getting into, and i pray he has money for those medical consultations and solution findings.

I am about to get married to a 28 year old lady whom I love so much but has been diagnosed with PCOS.
Menstruation is regular.
Anyone here with experience dealing with this condition and able to achieve successful conception should provide some guidance on how they went about it.

Thank you and God bless.
It is understandable if you are worried, however,
Its good to listen to someone who had it.

I believe its her past striking. A healthy woman seldom has such complications...that's nature's design. Now uou can imagine this man is potentially going to spend millions of naira treating what was probably caused by previous boyfriends, abortions with previous boyfriends etc
Omo. You nairaland men are really something! Even after he explained the reason to you. For your information, my cousin has it and she got married as a virgin last year. Her husband came to bathe my aunt's with gifts because of it. They went to the doctor. She was told to lose weight and she was on a supplement and to God be the glory, she's pregnant and my aunt is preparing for omugwo. I don't know what women did to you people that you must always paint them bad. May God heal all of you

With my experience in medical field, take note that the chances are very low.

That means she must have two of the following criteria: 1- irregular ovulation, which is usually indicated by an irregular menstrual cycle or a lack of a cycle. 2- She has signs of increased androgen levels or a blood test confirming you have increased levels. multiple small cysts on the ovaries.
She's more likely to develop certain serious health problems, which include type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, problems with the heart and blood vessels, and uterine cancer. In this case, have it in mind that you may have to go through artificial fertilization (IVF) in future which is 50/50.

But in all, there's nothing God cannot do. She may not even have any of those issues and conceive easily.
Can IVF work for a woman with cysts on the ovary?

Get her into fitness and health eating asap. Lots of Tumeric, herbs, garlic and ginger in her teas and smoothies.. It will help regulate her hormones and make conception seemless.

Every evening she should eat some Cucumber and green tea with half a lemon juice.

About 70% of women with PCOS have difficulty in conceiving. I never said it is impossible.

Test before you go all in. If truly you want to marry her, try to get her pregnant.

Or save towards IVF because the geez geez wey dey do you now go disappear by the time pressure to have kids set in. You go hear weeen. Then fertility treatment is expensive too, so prepare for it.

If you can't take the heat, please don't stay in the kitchen. Women character will change. All those love dovey out the window, as if na you dey cause the delay. Also, check yourself.

Is it possible for a girl that is seeing her menstrual period regularly.. no month is Skip and have problem?
Better take her for fertility test before you get married. No allow free pussy blind your eyes. See the trying to conceive thread on the health section of Nairaland, and you will see that the stress no be here.

Also, you may not be compatible spiritually sef.

Thank God that you can even have that thought. Some did not and are fighting needless battles today. The best time was yesterday, the next best time is now.

For you to make a determination that your cousin is a "virgin" you must be both omnipresent and attached to her 24/7. Mumu.

Most women don't hv such complications....its normally as a result of previous abortions or issues conceiving due to poor sexual health.

This is nor to deny the fact that in some instances its nor the case.

And you chose to make your post sound dramatic so that it attracts likes but it hasn't attracted much likes.

Yep. I knew you would reply with insults. Not surprised at all. You think I mentioned my cousin's story to garner likes and not to correct you? Because somehow the number of likes per post increases someone's account balance? What a joke! Now you're being objective by saying it happens in some instances.

Note that you must be atleast rich to carry out frequent hospital bills, because the journey of Polycystic ovary syndrome is not always easy, my mother was a victim of PCOS, her only joy was that it started after she gave birth to me, I am the only child of my parents. I can remember, the huge sums of money that my mom used in looking for a child, both native and orthodox medicines, IVF etc. Know what you are going into.

They are unaware of the high cost associated with infertility. Perhaps they believe those doctors who ride Gwagons and range rovers got them from performing surgeries. Even the pastors they are going to ask for prayers from will charge you like a medical professional, lol. Op should move on from her, or if he truly loves her, take another wife to become a parent. In this Nigerian economy, being infertile is not even an option for someone making less than 1m per month. You will discover that certain tests are not even possible to perform in Nigeria due to a lack of facilities.
