Was? E no dey again? And it does look like there's some significant risk involved. Interest rate in the US is about 5% if I'm not mistaken.

Yeah, when the crypto market was bullish the APR is usually high and that's what I mean it hit 30% percent( I think beginning of this current month). So when market turn bearish the APR will be low, so at 14% currently is still huge to me considering market is currently little bearish.

Usdt flexible stake is risk free, you can browse about it because you staked stable coin.

One day I wanted to buy apple, the woman told me it was 500 naira per one. The apple was smaller than what I usually buy at 400 naira in market square.

Had to ask why her apple is more expensive than market square when market square pays staff, probably has a loan they are servicing and sometimes run 24/7 on diesel. She didn't have any reasonable response apart from the normal cock and bull story of how she bought one at 499 naira and one naira is her gain.

Another instance, my son wanted to celebrate his birthday so we had to prepare a party pack for his classmates. I went to the store someone directed me to. I'll point at one thing she will say it's 1500 per one. I'll point at another and she'll say its 2500 per one. Even the pack itself she said it was 500 naira per one. There are 22 children in his class. If I put gifts of 5k in one party pack, I'll spend more than 100k. I left her shop and went to mile 3 market.

The pack she told me was 500 per one, I bought dozen for 1000. To think she will even buy cheaper than me because I was so shocked at the price that I didn't even bother to price it.

That experience really opened my eyes. When next I have things to buy in bulk, I head over to mile 3.

Dollar rates or not some are just naturally wicked. Also we not really having an effective regulatory board for this commodities also play a factor, people that might even be bribed self.
Had to boycott several items the way they'll be going up even if naira had not depreciated badly for some days, it's not as if I didn't have the money to pay but I don't like being taken for a fool especially when I'm familiar with your game.

Even the fish self there are some that are crazy to buy like catfish and stockfish. Though some can be attributed to importation and them lasting longer though.

Of course and to also hope our inflation is managed well not moving to the likes of Zimbabwe or Venezuela cause no matter how much you have a weak economy/currency will resort to losses on your side especially when you're trading abroad.

Which kind of business will still be selling old stock of as at 500 by now ? How can u be so sure they didn't restock all this while ? U are talking of retail items o.

Items like indomie , spaghetti and other provisions that malls and other retailers go to wholesale shops go restock within days ?

Mind u, the wholesaler lready bought them in large quantity while dollar was high and he certainly won't sell at a loss. So the retailer still buys at high price and will sell to final consumer at higher price.

I saw her post referencing supermarkets bringing down price of their indomie almost immediately after indomie reduce the ex-factory price . That's because those supermarkets get supplied by the producer or their major distributor right from source Na .

Bros, I can see you want to argue for arguing sake. Retail shops has been buying indomitable at 8900 for weeks now, but they sell it 300 per one which was the price they set it at when a carton was sold 10,500.

While i buy 8900, mama Sikiru is selling 300 per one to those who can't afford to buy the carton. So please, stop this justification, I know how retail shops do business.

Now to your question, I am certain that the same 250 litres hisense freezer I saw at Fouani with a price tag of 258,000 is the same one I saw for 391,000 when dollar got to 1,800 per naira.

Went there last week, I still saw the same freezer with the same price tag.

It's being taken for a fool that pains. Not because you can't afford it.

We Nigerians are always quick to accept price increase. We enable criminals.
