komzy589:£128 in a month is if he lives in a house of at least 2 bed. Have you asked yourself how much you will need to pay in Nigeria if you was to have 24/7 electricity? 2 get a solid solar assembly to power a 3 bed house will set you back almost N8m. |
Re: Earning ₦200K Monthly In Nigeria Is Better Than £2000 In UK - Allen Onyema by komzy589(m): 4:33pm On Mar 29 |
erico2k2:I’m sorry, it will cost you less than half of what you quoted there. I just supervised the installation of a 3.5kva solar solution, total cost is N3.2m. This will serve you a minimum of 3years before servicing. Servicing will definitely not cost more than half the installation price. We’re all scholars here. You don’t have to exaggerate to make your point. Someone earning £2k is not bigger than a 200k salary earner in Naija. They are only making more money for circulation than their Naija counterparts.

komzy589: That's a lie right there! That 2k pounds will do a lot more than what 200k naira can do in Naija. The difference will even be too much to compare. They are only making more money for circulation than their Naija counterparts.Meaning? |
Re: Earning ₦200K Monthly In Nigeria Is Better Than £2000 In UK - Allen Onyema by erico2k2(m): 4:41pm On Mar 29 |
komzy589:The thing you failed to realise is that there is different standards of living. Those who lived abroad for years and decides to return to Nigeria will have higher standars.Let me take my house for example of equipments in it.My part is a 4 bed duplex so I have 4X LCD tv 1x 8kg washing machine 1 x standing AC in living room 2HP 4x1.5HP A/C 1x standing tower fridge 1x standing tower freezer 4x water heater 2x water Dispensers 1xsumo pump of 1HP 1x kitchen Smoke extractor So on validation I will need at least a 7.5KW set up.,howmuch do you think that will set me back? Now back to £2k,Just so you know this is how much most people earn as single individuals AKA minimum wage. So they can let a room for £700(London) All inclusive and eat £200 a month and nothing more to pay than transport which is less than £100 a month. If they drive then say £120 in fuel and £130 on insurance. You buy clothes according to occasions. you are still left with more than £500 savings which is almost N1m sent to your 1st bank account. 9ja N200k, studio flats N50 to 60K per month average. Transport? N30K a month, feeding N60k plus fuel for Gen N20k plus, Money done, you cant even survive let alone talk abut savings. |

komzy589: This is the problem with Nigeria... are you supposed to be the only one enjoying 24hours electricity in your neighbourhood even if you can afford it....how many people can afford 3.2m to set up a solar solution? This is what we blame the politicians for... it starts from us. Na why some hospitals dy use torchlight do surgical procedures..where I watch the video sef 1 Like |

This is less than a days 12 hour shift if you earn £10/hr.in London ro0ms still cost £600/month N200k ahaha £110 lol That's not even 10% of what we spending at the Lounge tonight Damnmmm |

erico2k2:Guy you do debate for school so?🤣 You’re just shooting yourself at the foot by converting your earnings to naira. The topic is that A person earning £2k a month is not better than a N200k earner in Nigeria. Your £2k monthly salary cannot afford the quality of my 3bedroom apartment. komzy589:So of all I wrote about solar power you could no do the maths to calculate how much I will spend on installing a solar system in my house even when you replied specifically to the Energy needs post I made to a near estimation of N8m? With your N200k you cannot afford to live in any of my "2bed flat in PHC reason is that I let it out for N1.2m which comes to N120k a month then you got N80K left, So what quality of life can you possibly have or live with N80K netYou wanna tell us? 2 Likes 2 Shares |

komzy589: 3bedroom with no good road, no electricity, no good healthcare... abeg if you're earning 200k montky how long will it take that person to save 3.2m for solar solution, help me calculate. With £2k monthly, the individual gets woaroujd £1500 after tax, the person is covered under the govts helathcare, helicopter fit pick you if you're on the verge of crossing to the other side. With your 200k you go die inside gutter in 9ja, even if you're able to reach hospital.. na another story. Pls forget this debate. It is incomparable. 1 Like |

erico2k2:Firstly, your estimation is bias and out of contest. We are using my cousins £128 bill as the case study from the beginning of our convo. His apartment is a studio one and doesn’t boost all those electrical appliances you mentioned up there. If my 200k cannot afford your 120k apartment in PH, your £2k will be like a flea on the back of an elephant at Chestham Place in central London. |

My Electric bill for a month if the family are about on my 3 bed house is £150-£190 and if they are not about its about£110 to £120 N200k should be compared to £400 per month simply put if there is comparism at all |

erico2k2:Na to convert una sabi 😁 Ok convert this! 12 wraps of fufu in Nigeria cost 1000naira. I saw a video of price tag on 3 wraps of fufu in a mall, £18. So 0.5% of my monthly salary will get me 12wraps of fufu. 0.5% of £2k will get you at least 1 wrap of fufu. This☝️ is why you should stop those silly conversion. Money is just a piece of paper; a social construct, and the only reason that it has value is because the society has agreed for it to have value. The most important thing is what it can do for you. 4 Likes |

erico2k2:Percentage rating is not educative for you? Now you’re personalizing it without countering my valid point. I never said I was on a 200k a month salary. I was only buttressing Allen Oyema’s point that earning ₦200K Monthly In Nigeria Is Better Than £2000 In the UK. Ps: Percentage rating is the most valid unit for accessing the value of any quantity under varying condition. It is not a back room bant. |

Donaldoni: What is that that you bought that will cost a fortune in the UK? Are you converting to Naira to compare? If yes, did you also convert the salary to compare? I don't see how the person cannot afford to hire someone to work 4 hrs a week to do house chores. The person will earn exactly what he himself earns per hour. If you have an 8-shift, and hire someone to work for you for 4 hrs, I no see anything difficult there. |
Re: Earning ₦200K Monthly In Nigeria Is Better Than £2000 In UK - Allen Onyema by Donaldoni: 10:40am On Mar 30 |
ruffhandu: One day per week is not equivalent to 4 hours here. It definitely is more: 1. Clothes are washed. 2. The toilets are washed. 3. The floor is swept and mopped. This will cost you your salary in UK if you hire someone. Back to the shopping, I didn't do any conversion. If I list what I bought here, if you were to buy similar in the UK, you will smell pepper. Yet I spent just around 100k, maybe a little more, I am yet to ascertain the actual figure. And the stuff is for the whole month including the Easter celebrations. Imagine how much this will cost you in the UK |
