The day Bola Tinubu try it, he will not live to tell the story. He knows very well, he can't dare it.

Oddly enough I became emotional looking at this photo montage of Abuja, Nigeria's federal capital that rose like a wondrous mirage from desert scrubland over a short span of years in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Emotional because the scenes of immaculate urban planning captured by drones, along with other color-graded images of tranquil landscaped beauty could easily have been replicated in cities and towns throughout Nigeria, were it not for the insatiable greed of a tiny, statistically insignificant slice of the Nigerian populace who happen to enjoy tribal and family connections to the nation's political and military establishments.

Arguably, the percentage of Nigeria's daily accruing oil wealth that is diverted and embezzled, is greater than the share of that hard currency petroleum export income that does reach the national treasury where the industrial-scale embezzlement regime continues apace. Bound to secrecy by an Omerta code of silence, and blissfully oblivious to the heartbreaking consequences of their venality and greed, Nigeria's tribally skewed elite relax and quaff Dom Perignon champagne aboard corporate luxury jets that traverse the nation's skies far above the dilapidated highways, the squalidly unplanned and overpopulated urban centers where electrical power is rarely seen, and the insurgent-infested hinterland across which the nation's less wealthy are kidnapped by the score.

The only picture I spotted in the above slide show that is NOT a scene from anywhere in West Africa, is this picture purporting to be of a location called Jabi Lake. The trees in this picture are evergreen pine trees and other species that ONLY grow in temperate climates of Europe and North America. So this picture does NOT depict Jabi Lake at all.

If this is what we can boast for in almighty capital of Country called Nigeria, that means that our leaders have a lot to do considering the nature environment of Cairo and the one of Kenya and south Africa
