Blue3k:It is a very illegal arrest, the criminal justice code as amended in 2015, does not support that |
Re: Anambra Woman Loses Pregnancy In Police Custody by chitheo(f): 7:31am On Mar 30 |
She should sue and make some serious money. The arrest was illegal. No one should be arrested in lieu of another. I think section 7 of ACJA ( not so sure of the section) provides this. Police and doing the direct opposite of what the law states. |

When the police saw that she was poor and defenceless, they took advantage of that, and if you research well, I won't be too surprised if they actually still raped her in the station with her pregnancy. |
Re: Anambra Woman Loses Pregnancy In Police Custody by Oghene86: 7:57am On Mar 30 |
FuglyGurl: Hope the station would be burnt down, because when they kill any uniform man they kill and burn down villages instead of going after the people that committed the act. Well the person in charge in arresting the lady should be delt with very well to put an end to all this nonsense, you can't just be arresting people at will, the police should ensure all this unnecessary arrest stops, that was how they arrested a crippled man for trespassing in Port Harcourt |

Arresting and detaining people by proxy or based on relationship with a suspect has to be the dumbest thing on Earth...! Even in her condition, the imbeciles in uniform still went on to detain her...! If we had a working Judiciary, she would be made for life! |

Re: Anambra Woman Loses Pregnancy In Police Custody by wunmite06(m): 8:42am On Mar 30 |
FuglyGurl: This is very wrong, I wonder why the Nigeria Police Force don't follow simple lay down rules. It is crystal clear and stated in Section 7 of the Administrative Criminal Justice Act (ACJA) 2015 and section 36 of the Nigeria Police Act 2020 explicitly prohibits arrest by proxy. Section 7 of ACJA 2015 states “a person shall not be arrested in a place of a suspect”. This implies that it is illegal for the police to arrest a father in the place of his son or a mother in the place of the father, especially in criminal cases. 1 Like 1 Share |

Don't believe any story until you hear from the other party. If those officers did what writer claims, then, the police has questions to answer. But then, story from one source is risky to swallow without hesitation. |
