After years of training and loving your children, you discover they aren't yours. What will you do? Will you keep them? Will you still love them as much as you did? What happens to your wife? |
Re: Paternity Fraud: Will You Still Keep The Children? by Natbrowny: 11:21am On Mar 30 |
What will you do? Can't say really. Many things could happen, Humiliation, Murder etx etc etc Will you keep them? F*CK NO Will you still love them as much as you did? F*CK NO. After discovery, things changes. FOR REAL What happens to your wife? Her problem. Its her kids, They will leave my residence with immediate effect. Situations like this requires zero patience and full ruthlessness.. My sacrifices stops when discovery is made. As heartbroken and painful as it can be. Na why gun violence dey UK be that. Discover shits like dis, open fire straight and go to jail knowing u judged someone as you are been judged too. |

In some cultures, any child born within a marriage conducted within their tradition belongs to the husband irrespective of the DNA test outcome. 1 Like |

Re: Paternity Fraud: Will You Still Keep The Children? by Kobojunkie: 3:03pm On Mar 30 |
Carcholce:That happens to be the default as far as customary law in Nigeria. Insisting that paternity fraud has been committed amounts to seeking requesting divorce from one's spouse in that case whether or not the accusation is proven true. |

Kobojunkie:He said culture not law. Let me rephrase the question for you... which culture in Nigeria openly accepts children an unfaithful wife gave birth to? 2 Likes |

Carcholce: Let me not even not focus on Nigeria, make I no cause trouble. Let me cite one example, if you talk to a Kenyan from the Kikuyi tribe (the biggest tribe in Kenya) that if a wife played "away match" born the pikin, you would be shocked by them seeing nothing wrong with that, they would even go ahead to explain to you that the woman did well because if there is an abnormality in the husband's family genes, she has done well with having a child that would not pass down that abnormality....you would be shocked by the high level of education of their folks who see nothing wrong in it 😂😂😂😂 1 Like |

Chenzee: So you want to tell me that if you nurture your child from a baby up to the time he graduates from a private university at the age of 22 you will suddenly remember to do DNA test then disown the child if the test is negative? Is that not foolishness?! 1 Like |
Re: Paternity Fraud: Will You Still Keep The Children? by Mindlog: 7:31am On Mar 31 |
Nazgul: There are cultures in Nigeria (you are free to research) where historically, any child born during the marriage the man has paid the bride price, is the man's child......read up and ask questions from elders from different communities. |

Re: Paternity Fraud: Will You Still Keep The Children? by EreluRoz: 7:48am On Mar 31 |
Honestly this paternity fraud should be a criminal offense with severe punishment, it's very bad. There should be limit to wickedness because how will you comfortably allow a man to toil and train children that are not his? Some people no get conscience for this life. The man should just continue with the kids as his in this type of case kos he has already invested his life in them. 2 Likes |

SIMPonPatrol: Oga, u do DNA test not so you'd disown the children but to confirm your suspicion. If you are sure they're yours, fine. But once you have any doubt about their paternity, oga you'd never be able to sleep well. It's because it hasn't happened to you sha. |
Re: Paternity Fraud: Will You Still Keep The Children? by joseph1832(m): 7:53am On Mar 31 |
Chenzee:To answer your questions: 1. Do a DNA test to know if the children have the same DNA with the mother. 2. Depend on the result from question 1. 3. Same was 1. 4. That depends on the result of 1. |

Nazgul:A man and his wife were separated but not divorced, the woman got pregnant and formally filed for divorce. The man accepted, bride price was returned but the man told her to use it to take of his child that she was carrying. Claimed it was his own since she took in while still married to him. Court ruled in his favor. Whether that is still in practice today is what I don't know. The man was my neighbor and I believe you know where I'm from. 3 Likes |

Tallesty1: Lmao! I have heard of these stories and that is why I think some of the pseudo-alphas on NL do not know their culture because strange things have been happening. I do wonder why they did it __To spite the other man, abi they are sterile. These men were not broke asses o. Ever since I got closer to my parents, I have heard shocking stories of innocent-looking aunties and uncles. |

pocohantas: We have a family friend who is a big man and on and off during my childhood, I heard my folks talk about how the man was sterile or something of that nature. But he and his wife had two boys. Also this https://dailytimesng.com/yoruba-men-dont-mind-wives-cheat-funmi-iyanda/ 1 Like |

Nazgul: My home town ( I am from an igbo state ) will take any child that a woman gives birth to while still married to the man.If they are separated and the normal rites of returning the bride price has not been done, they will still claim that child.Making the real father loose out . Mind you they are not claiming the child from a point of love but from a need to spite the woman and her lover. 1 Like |
Re: Paternity Fraud: Will You Still Keep The Children? by Tallesty1(m): 10:47am On Mar 31 |
pocohantas:I think it is because of the archaic believe that whoever pays a woman's bride price owns her and therefore owns what she owns. The man in my story already has 5 boys and a girl. Nobody is innocent anything. If you are opportuned to sit with elders and hear their tales, you go shock. Way back when a girl's nude was leaked, first in my village. I was with my aunt that day and was like na only God go help us wey never marry, unto say good girls don finsh. Madam told me to shut up. Say there have always been and there will always be good women. Said the difference between then and now is that they didn't have phones and internet to upload some of the things they did, mentioned that they had fear and respect. No be today nyash dey back. |

Twoclans: Can only work when the actual father is dead, uneducated, unexposed, weak, and extremely poor. You can't try this nonsense with a fairly educated man with #200k or less to spare. |
Re: Paternity Fraud: Will You Still Keep The Children? by pocohantas(f): 10:59am On Mar 31 |
Tallesty1: And their generation was more discreet. Unlike ours that open mouth waaa. Only if you are opportuned to eavesdrop on their meetings or have parents that like gist, then you will know. Some of these old aunties were never married. We only assumed they are widows. Whereas they never married, but had kids for a man. My grandfather's concubine was living in our compound. She was outside, but when her kids grew and had money, they used their share of land to build a small house for her inside our compound. So my grandmother was seeing her everyday. By fire by force. She even outlived both my grandfather and his two "legal" wives. |
Re: Paternity Fraud: Will You Still Keep The Children? by Acidosis(m): 10:59am On Mar 31 |
Chenzee: Divorce is the only solution to paternity fraud. It's left for the children to seek their biological father, accept the 'father' they've known all their lives, or manage both. More often than not, the kids will always attempt to know their biological father with or without your knowledge. What you want is somewhat irrelevant at the end of the day. |

One Christmas like that I decided to barb one crazy style, P man called me and showed pictures of himself with even crazier hair styles, I shock. Told me to go barb something 'normal" because gain no dey am. My friend told me that it was from his mom he heard about his father's side woman, his mother was telling her friend that she is happier now that her husband is sleeping with the other one because his demand for sex has reduced. Crazy times. |
Re: Paternity Fraud: Will You Still Keep The Children? by Jman06(m): 1:25pm On Mar 31 |
Mindlog:You people readily make this assertion forgetting or not knowing that it is only if the man is willing to accept such child that such scenario is possible, or if the man died immediately after marrying the wife, then the lady maybe asked to stay and bear children for the family especially if the dead husband was the only child. In some cases, if a family loses their male children/child without those children being married or have children, then the family could look for a willing lady, marry her and allow her to birth children with other men. So, it is not that the woman cheated on her husband and then had a bastard child only for the man to later discover that the child is not his. No man accepts such woman and child in Igbo culture. So, Kobojonkie and co should take note. |

Jman06: Ask elders in your community, if it has been accepted in history? |
Re: Paternity Fraud: Will You Still Keep The Children? by Jman06(m): 1:35pm On Mar 31 |
Mindlog:Some may accept but it is rare and alot of cleansing rituals must have been done before that. In most cases, the man would reject the woman and child and throw them out of his house. |
