From the picture you attached I can see that the plug is fused... Confirm if the fuse is still intact, if not, try replacing the fuse

I actually removed the fuse and smelt it, i don't think anything is wrong with the fuse.. But the end of the cable that goes into the router is smelling like a burnt a cable. Even the router power hole is smelling too

I am so confused right now

I believe he is looking for solution that would enable him to use it in the meantime, given that it takes sometime to send a replacement.

Most likely a power surge issue and has damaged the router. I have experienced same, and Starlink sent a replacement for free. They have data that would show them what happened to the router, just open a support ticket and they will send a replacement.

If you do find a solution to the damaged one, kindly share with us, as I also have one lying around.

My Starlink went offline overnight and I’ve tried switching it off and on, disconnecting and reconnecting the cables at both ends (Starlink and router), I even tried resetting the router but I’m still offline. Whenever the router is trying to calculate orientation, it goes offline immediately and stays offline. Messaged support this morning, took all the necessary pictures and after a few minutes, I got a reply from support that a new cable has been sent to me at no extra cost. Through my Starlink account, I can see they are preparing the shipment.
Hopefully, the cable arrives as soon as possible. Starlink is really trying when it comes to customer support.
UPDATE

My new cable got delivered today (9 days in total including weekend) It took this long because the cable was sent from USA California and we also had public holiday in Nigeria. I called someone to help sign and receive the package from DHL. Connected the new cable this evening immediately I got home and my Starlink is back online.

TP-LINK Archer C80

That's what I use. Gives me constant 5ghz on those devices that don't catch starlink router's 5ghz.
I get down speed of 350mbps with it in the North of Nigeria. Last price I saw it at was 60k though I bought mine 43k last year.

Sammy dey use Band 3 channels 149 - 165.
You can text starlink to change your 5Ghz channels to any of those above or just buy Starlink Ethernet adapter and get a third party Router. (US) Version o.

Bought an Airtel router that randomly disconnected from network. Complained to their cc on twitter, after plenty back and forth games, i gave up.

Mobile app or web portal.
Go to wireless and disable smart connect and 2.4Ghz and 5GHz will now be separated.
Create the individual SSIDs. Connect to 5Ghz.

Sorry... Could be your location or something.
Check setup too and be sure 5ghz is on.

I didn't bypass mine though. The starlink is still emitting WiFi but the C80 is emitting constant 5ghz WiFi for me.

Hi guys, anyone here using starlink in Awka? Can you post current speed?

Hi everyone!

So I got a starlink kit from a family member who was japa-ing and got it transferred to me, however, I only got the option to use Starlink roam because apparently, there is no availability in my area (which is ridiculous, because I don't think up to 10 people have starlinks in my area 🤣🤣)

So I paid the monthly fee of 49k for Roam, but longer term I want to switch to the Standard residential plan because it's cheaper and faster (so a no-brainer).

My plan was to sign up for an additional Starlink, pay the deposit for the standard plan and whenever availability opened up, I'd tell them support I have an existing kit and just transfer the service to the kit, cancel roam and activate standard.

My problem now is that I am unable to pay the deposit for the Standard. I have tried every possible combination of card (debit, credit, Master card, Visa, verve) with multiple banks (First, Standard Chartered, GTB) and still no dice. Even the first bank card that is currently on file for the roam service was declined.

What could be the issue?

Thanks ☺️

Hello Please, I have a question, I want to ask a friend of mine in the UK to purchase one for me without an account or to use my Nigeria details to purchase it in the Uk. If he ships down to Nigeria, will I be able to activate it even though it was purchased in the UK and delivered to Nigeria. WHat do you think?
