Ades1: Lets not even talk about people working in tech. In this UNILAG alone, i have seen over 20 people who work remotely and get paid in dollars while still studying. Part of the reason we are not progressing in nigeria is because the older generation are not ready to pass the torch on to the youth thinking that all of them are lazy and not capable. A VERY SAD MINDSET 3 Likes |

ogoo4real:Think part of the high expectations was the Dividend payment made in 2022 (TRANSPOWER)...... Seems we read, and someone also mentioned that N247 was paid per share or thereabout. Guess large OS was the reason for the current one, the need to accommodate larger shareholders.... It's possible it may be better as time goes on anyway.... |

If it's so, then, future is very bright for Transcorp from my opinion* ** Current shareholding structure attached** Share mop up by Corporate investors noticed in 2023 FYE..... around 30bn! 🧐 1 Like

emmanuelewumi: If Transcorp can double its PAT every year for three consecutive years and pay out up to 60% of that revenue as dividends, then the 14 Naira share value is justifiable. 2 Likes |

emmanuelewumi: I believe close to 100% consecutively over the next 5 years is PLAUSIBLE. Why I say this is predominantly due to the expected power-sector growth in 5years(very untapped and underutilised) if conditions remain favorable. Now, if other sector within the Transcorp arm sees life, that'll be bonus points. Goodmorning all!! **And looking at the level of consolidation of the shareholder structure . I just hope Transcorp sees single digit that's my only worry. 1 Like |

emmanuelewumi: Looks like a 25% payout ratio is forming in a dividend growth manner. They may pay less in exceptional years like 2021 where EPS was 34 kobo but dividend paid was 2 kobo. And may still pay dividends in bad years like 2020 when a loss was recorded but 1 kobo dividend was still paid. If they can continue with this dividend growth model of 25% payout ratio of sustainable profits without ever cutting back on dividends that will be excellent. |

yMcy56: Waooo. The picture showed madam (Mrs Elulmelu) mopped up Transcorp shares heavily last year from profit takers . Can recall one or two NGX notifications announcing her mopping up at +/- N3 The mop up (5%) is very heavy !!!!!!! 2 Likes |

ogoo4real: I guess a pull back here and there. Overall a flat market in the short term as a lot of profit takers have already struck. And a gentle rise in the medium term if the Q1 and Q2 numbers suggest growth is on course. 1 Like |

E Ku Market o. I don't want to make any comment yet ...... Let's all be watching how Mr. Market will/is handling TRANSCORP...... ....But me, I won't panic yet........no cause for panicking yet. After all, the 10k dividend payout is +100% improvement from last year's. .......and last year Dividend, 5k was just a "dash" because around that time was the period Otedola stepped in.... * Already: Tony + Awele + UBA nominees are presently controlling 43.83% of Transcorp shares......unlike before that he controls less than 1%! 4 Likes |
