We are being given darkness as electricity, and they still have the effrontery to tell us that the amount we pay for the darkness is not enough, that it's not realistic paying such tariffs for electricity darkness

Honestly, these current Nigerian leaders at the helm of affairs are from the pit of hell.
You no get prepaid?

1x2x3:
The events unfolding in Abia serve as a poignant reminder that the stewardship of leadership is paramount. While the wrong incumbent may bemoan circumstances, the rightful custodian will adeptly navigate the available resources to orchestrate remarkable feats. Even if the tariff surges to 200 per kilowatt, one can confidently assert that the purported savings from subsidy removal will not yield substantive benefits. It is not a matter of financial destitution, but rather the inept handling of our invaluable resources.
Look at the other subsidies they removed, how has it benefitted the masses, what have they done with the money?

Abia People should be grateful to President Tinubu - for allowing the Prof.Nnaji Company, to use Gas Pipelines by ensuring that this Particular Project did Not Pass through the National Grid - which Buhari refused in the first place, because it seems we intentionally forget that,if Tinubu had refused like others,we wouldn't talk of any lights in Abia today!
Whichever way, Kudos to Prof Nnaji, Governor Otti and Tinubu!

There is no need to thank PMB or PBAT! The concept ab initio was for geometric to run an integrated GENCO, and DISCO combined.

PLS SOMEONE THAT US INTELLIGENT, HELP ME TUNMỌ̀ ( interprete) THESE 'THINGS'. Abi I don't understand basic economics again nii?:

The move would reduce its N3.3tn cost and save the government about N1.1tn annually

If the subsidy is N3.3trn, and you remove am, shebi you have saved govt N3.3trn again: d money goes back into govt pocket, or it never even leaves the pocket in the 1st place...so why saving it N1.1trn...wetin con happen to the N2.2trn balance? Abi dem won "ginta" d balance nii?!
I don't understand o.

Confirming this to our correspondent, Onanuga said the tariff hike would affect only 15 per cent of consumers, accounting for 40% of electricity consumption

If the planned tariff hike will affect 15% of customers, and the 15% if customers make up 40% of electricity consumption, ṣe I can assume dat it is (15/100 of [40/100)* Q; where Q is the total number of electricity consumption customers. If that is the case, isn't it strange mathematics? Why can't they simply say the basic percentage?
The mathematics is a bit confusing.

Then, how will they pick the 15%?

I HOPE IT IS NOT THAT SW,SE AND SS WILL CON BE THE 15% DAT WILL BEAR THE PUNISHMENT, while NW and NE will be enjoying small-small electricity billings oh?!

The biggest mistake the FG made in the power industry is privatization of NEPA. The entire Generation plants cannot operate to the full capacity due to low remittance from DISCOS. The DISCOS incur about 60 percent loss in the course of their operations.
The problem is that the Generation can't supply enough Megawatts to the National grid even if they do the Transmission infrastructure cant bear the load. While majority of the people and businesses cant afford to pay for 24hour power supply due to high level of poverty. So stable power supply in Nigeria with current arrangement is just a pipe dream.
who is to blame ?
Now the government is planning to remove subsidy on electricity and once again running away from its responsibility even further.
With high level of poverty in the country government is everything for the populace.

When we are already getting 9.7units (kwh) for N1,000 in my area from IBEDC. That's like N100 per unit

When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.

Oya clap for yourself, Tinubu supporter. Looking at what you have said, no wonder we have problems in this country. "Abia people should be grateful to Tinubu" for allowing a licensed, private enterprise access to gas which that enterprise pays the government for. Am ashamed on behalf of whoever sent you to school.

Most Nigerian are too docile, all what they know best is to come online on social media and throwing tantrums to one another, while the government continue to squeeze life out of them.
Can you imagine? Electricity tariff is about to be removed and all they could do is to fill the social space with endless LAMENTATIONS.
Breed of cowards everywhere.

Do we now have an improved power distribution framework over Buhari regime? Has the national grid being delivered from the incessant operational failure?

Is this not the same route they towed in the petroleum industry that created the confusion we are experiencing?

APC only understands the art of power acquisition and not the system of governance.

Make the country smaller and see the speed of development . It is just the oil in niger delta that glue Nigeria together , nothing else
