BTW, this is what the market is currently quoting for FX futures. Make of that information what you will. Anyone can be a conspiracy theorist, at least you wont need data for it

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by User09: 4:14pm On Apr 03 |
larride: No, it's a form of hedge. Just like a typical Non deliverable forward Meaning if I think the rates will move further than 1367 in 3 months time. I can go into it. The counterparty will pay me the difference. Its a form of protection. Conversely, if the rates is lower on the settlement date, I would be in a loss position and have to pay the difference to the counterparty. My general point was that this is sort of like a sentiment as to where the FX is headed and largely reflective of it. Still not seen any data to support all the 2k plus doomsday hypothesis 2 Likes 1 Share |

Even as at last year when I usually do it's mostly playful jibes except shit gets serious same way I do to other monikers here, if you read it another way na you sabi cause I don't think I've ever gone personal on you on this thread. Maybe it's my recent feminists discourse with A40 that's triggering you. So please and please I please need you to get my name out of your fvckin Thank you. 3 Likes |

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Eunoiaa(f): 4:54pm On Apr 03 |
pocohantas: Lol. That's not true in the slightest. I mean what that user said. I am in many writers' communities, and people only still talk about AI takeover in mostly hypothetical situations, and concerns about it that may rise up. BookTok is literally a big category on TikTok and even bookstores have sections dedicated to "TikTok Made Me Buy It". Debut books are being released every other day. And demand for content writers haven't dwindled too. The only people I can see being impacted by AI in the now are graphic designers. During that AFCON, a lot of big social media accounts and cable TV handles on Twitter were all using AI-generated pictures. Even the Erisco man, it's mostly AI graphics that people are using to troll him. |

If I mentioned or "indicted" anybody in anyway, it was never unprovoked. The Flint notably is one of the people here I nor dey get issue with (and I frankly haven't seen him in any ish with anybody). Does he have two heads? Be like him and dey your dey. Thank you too. |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by User09: 5:04pm On Apr 03 |
WhoDeyHause: No and Yes. If we were talking strictly about subsidy, then we would be looking at Nigeria consumption which at 600k barrels per day, Dangote Refinery should be able to help GloriousGbola, help me out here as I am largely quoting numbers from google. The truth is there needs to be some level of subsidy/intervention to cushion the effects of all these reforms that seem to be taking place at once cos the masses are going to be severely affected. The intervention however should be reasonably prized and not another avenue for corruption, otherwise, the purpose would have been defeated. |

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by larride(m): 5:16pm On Apr 03 |
raumdeuter: Make Adelabu give us light first. Light wasn't this worse under Buhari now. At least when people are seeing the light they are paying for, there won't be too much noise. With this increase in tariff, just imagine those still on postpaid, them go just estimated billings choke them. The Discos were suppose to meter everyone but they didn't so that they can continue to exploit consumers with estimated billings. |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by User09: 5:22pm On Apr 03 |
raumdeuter: There needs to be a rejig in that sector. Most of their licenses shouldn't be renewed One of the biggest mistakes by the Nigerian government was the manner in which the Electricity privatization took place. Shoddy crooks being granted licenses when proper foreign investors with documented history also bid for it. The crooks thought it was gonna be massively profitable without the requisite huge capital investment in it. Now most of them have been taken over by AMCON |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by OasisX: 5:31pm On Apr 03 |
User09: .....if possible, they should revoke their licenses. They are not ready to serve stable electricity, they just wanna milk Nigerians, especially facilities without meters. TCN must be sold too. You can't sell GenCo and DisCo but hold on to TCN.....why?! Privatize all. 1 Like |

larride: Is this not an issue of dry season river Niger water level Is light not Pay as you use? So do they charge you when you dont have light? |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 5:32pm On Apr 03 |
User09: That is a good place to start. Any useless or unproductive disco should have their license taken and handed over to those competent ones |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by larride(m): 5:35pm On Apr 03 |
raumdeuter: Na only those wey get meter fit talk that pay as you use, for estimated billings, nepa bring any amount they like which are usually astronomical. The light situation has been regressing badly since this administration started. It has nothing to do with dry season, in the words of Adelabu himself, he said its a gas issue. |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by larride(m): 5:39pm On Apr 03 |
User09: Yes. Guess who was the executive chairman of NERC when the privatization took place? Sam Amadi. in his own words, they sold nepa assets to those without the prerequisite knowledge of the sector. Guess who is good governance advocate today? Same Sam Amadi |
