......Power is no longer under exclusive list, thus our Governors should wake up. In SW, Lagos, Oyo and Ekiti have passed Electricity Power Sector Bill into law, which mean they can generate, transmit and distribute electricity locally. Oyo State is building 11mw hybrid Power Station [Solar and Gas], its 90% completed. Ekiti State has commissioned 3.6mw IPP, so slowly but surely we are getting there. |

raumdeuter: Those that sold those assets to them to Discos and Gencos in 2013 also made sure to insert clause that will make it very expensive for the govt to revoke those license without landing in arbitration. 1 Like 1 Share |

Did anybody sit down, and swear for Nigerians to be clamoring for airlines and airports? https://www.nairaland.com/8050462/pan-yoruba-urges-southwest-nigerian-state |

OasisX: User09:Well if it can refine that much capacity then it's good to go since dangote will have much to lose since it's his private enterprise compared to more shady outlets. Only problem is he'll still likely go with international rates or still increase it when distributing to marketers. I thought the IMF said subsidy payment is back though it's minimal? At least it's better than giving mammoth allocations to some of these governors with almost nothing to show for it. |

raumdeuter:Egbon to build oil refinery no be beans ooo. FG even had to help dangote with forex for his own. Except maybe several of them come together to form a consortium or another way. 1 Like |

izzou: This airport madness has got to stop, just look at Ebonyi own, just wasting away.. I've always said Enugu and Imo should serve the entire SE and Lagos should do so for SW too..If not, then just one more should be enough.. We have more pressing needs..The billions Umahi wasted on that airport nonsense would have gotten Ebonyi something more profitable.. |

WhoDeyHause: Its not cheap thats why serious people are needed. It doesn't have to big on the level of Dangote. Also the market is huge too |

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by WhoDeyHause: 7:18pm On Apr 03 |
raumdeuter:Yes the market is huge but the cost of building from scratch especially the one that'll be refining the crude barrels in one location and non deregulation by the government would make some back out, that's why I suggested if some would come together to form a consortium. They'll also have to find a location far away from the populace in all those expanses of land deep in Nigeria. Dangote really took a big risk on this project especially as he's paying back his loans with increased exchange values every year. But of course he'll reap his benefits once his refinery kickstarts production. |

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 7:20pm On Apr 03 |
WhoDeyHause: Its either you site it close to where the crude is drilled to reduce transport cost or incur heavy investment in pipes to deliver to the hinterland. The longer your pipe network, the more places pipes can be sabotaged and crude stolen Its a high risk high investment and high reward industry. I am sure of govt promise them stability there are rich people with deep pocket like diggz who can finance it |

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by WhoDeyHause: 7:25pm On Apr 03 |
raumdeuter:It's because of the waste coming from the refineries so as not to pollute the surrounding residential areas since everything can't be eradicated for sure . I'm sure you know of lafarge cement refinery and the limestone dust it distributes daily around that Lagos Abeokuta express way. Places like ondo, Oyo or edo won't be bad cause of the distance and large expanses of land. Lol, we believe in baba diggz capacity now, no arguments for that one. Na you dey disguise |

I like the Afamefuna movie, and what's more beautiful is that the director was a Yoruba guy. Our professionals should extend their experience in telling stories about other cultures. There's so much beautiful part of other cultures we can see and know. I hope to see Kunle Afolayan direct and produce a movie in another culture. One producer, that I love to see his works anytime it comes out I like how Nollywood is producing beautiful movies on foreign platforms. Dem dey try 5 Likes 2 Shares |
