He's right but it also depends on how strong the fortification of the said husband is or how strong the woman is also spiritually though this one is rare. Some men actually don't really do anything when claiming to but the fear of the rites will make the wives not to trespass because of other people's incidents.

Lol and who told you that it is rare for Edo women to be spiritually fortified.

Have you been to Ikpoba River or Ogba River on a daily basis? How many of the people seen at the said rivers are men?

I've been to both rivers and I know what I'm saying.

There are also some set of women that are not meant for marriage. Any man that decides to make it official with them dies. These women belong to the gods, although they are free to enter several sexual relationships with men. I have a friend whose mum is unmarried and have different kids with different men. She too cannot marry.

This government has mastered the act of propaganda and they have passed it down to private companies which government directly influences like players in the power sector.

Instead of just coming out and state it plainly that they have increased electricity traiff generally, they kept mouthing " only Band A customers will be affected" . Now see them dishonestly classifying different areas that don't even enjoy 10 hours light daily as band A customers that are assumed to be enjoying 20-24 hours light daily. undecided

Lolz. EFCC have detention centers not the kind of cell u have in police station where they pack group of suspects like Sardine.

Bobrisky might probably just be in an isolated room at EFCC office where he will be interrogated after which they may charge him to court and he will make bail.

Don't really mind all those sugar bloggers are adding to the story to make it sweet.

I don't think cheating/paternity fraud/adultery is solely tied to a specific gender or tribe.

But I can tell you for free that Edo women have a healthy appetite for sex. Just like every other tribe.

Yeah but my pov was from the fact that there are checks in place for such not to occur to create that fear factor.....

Small stealing for the community wey dem dey call ayelala or Oba's curse on human traffickers(madam),cases like this make people think twice before indulging in some things...

I'm not insinuating that. I mean for the woman's spiritual fortification to override the husband's lock on her from the deity they did the rites to. Note my emphasis is only on married woman ooo not single, divorces or widows.

There are also married women that have spiritual fortification and even if they go outside to cheat, nothing will happen to them.

Maybe I'm not too familiar with how it plays in the South East, but from what I've heard about this particular custom it's not as deep as is being portrayed here...the one I've heard it's usually a male child they "remarry" the woman to, so it's more in saying you're still part of us, and less in saying person X (adult male) would continue where our son stopped, and the traditionao rite in question does not prevent the woman from marrying if she so desires.

The reason for the tradition is that women in the olden days don't have money and cannot sustain themselves after the death of their husband. So she married to any of the husbands brother who will take care of her. In these days that women are more enpowered so cases like this are very rare unless both the woman and the brother have been cutting show behind the scene before the man died or the brother is extremely wealthy. Some women won't mind if the brother happens to be Davido or Ned Nwoko

In this Betty's case if true I am suspecting something. Betty being a troublesome fellow she wants to still be involved in Ondo politics but the main anchor to Ondo politics is dead so she found another anchor and one that has an aged tradition backing it.
Now she can chook mouth in Ondo politics legitimately
