People sold their houses and investment to go change diapers, believing they would recoup that money in a short time. Reality hits them and depression sets-in

Some had high paying jobs in Nigeria and were living a comfortable life. The false narration they imbibed, only to drastically decline.

UK is very good for a hustler, someone starting in life, or a subject matter expert with good qualifications.

I have about 10 friends who moved to the UK and I can bet you that if I call all 10 of them saying I'm stranded and I need bail out funds of 100k only one or two can help me with 10 or 20k. The rest will give me a thousand reasons. Meanwhile, in Nigeria here, I know many who dole that out without sweating. I also know of some friends in war thorn Ukraine and Turkey that can comfortably send the money. But these ones in UK will be using play to send their account number to you. I might have to agree with the OP on this.

Do you know how much people have invested to get there? Do you know how much it takes to study, purchase flight ticket and buy COS?

Do you have an idea the status people have relinquished for that travel?

Now you want them to return home when reality hits them. Nigerians don’t think that way. Nigeria is getting worse and it’s not feasible for them to come empty handed.
