The rampant theft and illegal refining of crude oil pose grave threats to Nigeria's environment, economy, and future prosperity. It's imperative that we unite to tackle this scourge head-on, safeguarding our natural resources for the benefit of all Nigerians and securing a brighter, more sustainable future. Kudos to the Nigerian Navy. 7 Likes 1 Share |

And they will press for govt to pay them compensation for degradation of their farm and fishing lands. Yet they are the ones degrading it. 9.6million per day? Well I suggest they license them and then regulate them after prosecution. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

I think it's time government looks into this illegal refineries. Instead of arresting or closing them, build modular refineries around those areas, retrain those boys involved in the kpofire and absorb them into the system. Or the ministry of petroleum should open up a loan facility for those in kpofire business. They form cooperative to get the loan strictly handled by the ministry. Setup their own small refineries with the loan and start refining to meet up demand. This will largely stop illegal refining. When others see the change in modus operandi, they will no option than to stop illegal refining. This is the best form of amnesty to give this boys, not sharing money to them every month. (Make una dey give people like us special advisers biko)🤣🤣🤣🤣 1 Like 1 Share |

If these guys can truly refine crude, albeit using a crude method, then the best option is for the government to empower them with better refining equipment and method. Just my humble opinion. 4 Likes |

You are very stupid, who is stopping the mining in the north. Why is everyone interested in the Niger Delta oil, They take the oil with no meaningful development. Even the Bonny-Bodo road has been stopped by the current administration. Doskit: 2 Likes |

Arobaga:Taylor92, it is public knowledge you are from Abakaliki and not from Portharcourt. So no even start one for here. As per black soots we have all over PH, don't you know the long term implications? Same you jump from one thread to another complaining about the government but your comments shows you are worse than those you accuse. Why encourage/involve yourself in criminality and endanger people's lives and health just because you want to make illicit money? You need to get a real and decent job. Kpofire is causing more harm than good to everyone. 8 Likes 2 Shares |
