Bro, how many fight scenes dy GOT? It's was more of a conversation series and was enjoyable and very long than dune so leave dat fight scenes Mata aside

Dune should be a seasonal film not a movie at least 3 episodes will be okay to give us some useful details and start building it from E4

I agree with you. There are so many worlds, sub-plots, characters, back stories, families that could be explored if it is properly fleshed out.

For example, the reason for Emperor Shaddam's IV betrayal against the Atriedes was barely touched upon in the part two and that is one of the major driving forces in the film.

In fact, it was just chalked up to one sentence along the lines of "the Atreides were becoming too powerful", which is not enough in my opinion.
This is not me saying they should explore every story thread but it'd interesting to see how they build up to current events.

If they should adapt it again for the big screen, they should consider making it a series. However, this is not to take credit away from Dennis Villeneuve: he did a great job balancing the many elements going on in the film.

Seems some don't like the movie.
I was also shocked a friend said he didn't like DUNE Part one. And said it was mid. This is a person whom I highly rate his entertainment choices since most of my hobbies and content are very similar.

Also met someone few weeks ago saying Dune was boring, I no too mind am and look am say e no sabi film. So it's prolly a matter of "one man's meat is another man's poison."
Dune Part Two - 12/10
I rewatched this movie on my phone this time. It felt like it was too short!!! The run time could be 4 hours and I would be happy! One of the most rewatchable movies I have ever scene. Every scene is a painting. You could pause at a particular part and you could use it for a wallpaper. One of the most beautiful movies I have ever watched!

Those scenes with Stilgar (Javier Bardem) was soo funny to me. Paul could tell Stilgar to cut his two hands and he'll agree! L'isan Al'Ghaib!

If you don't understand DUNE part 2 then you either didn't follow the storyline right from Part 1 or you don't understand the dynamics of movie story around Power and control.

Waiting for the Holy war with the houses in Part3 and the movie of his former lover who left

That movie deserves to be seasonals... Atleast, people will know how each house came to power, the Envy, how Paul's was not able to know that the Fat guy was his father and how she met Paul's Father, if Paul's Father knows about this...there are many things to even explore there

Conflict on all parts...

I see Paul getting killed laslas..

By benejeseries.. and his sister taking his place..

Those girl cult mustn't win o

Chani (Zendaya) will probably kill Paul Atreides to stop his villainy or the chaos he will cause...

Either that or his actions lead to Chani's death...

What is sure to me is that at least one of them will die in Dune

I heard a lot from the books were cut to fit into the movie...

This is why such adaptations should be in seasonal format...

Also Hollywood should focus on more on epic book adaptations...they are far more gripping than the stale Superhero movies/whows

But to be honest, Nigerians are not that worse than average consumers worldwide...my only issue is the lack of discussion or dissection of movies...

And again, you can't really blame Nigerians...look at Nollywood...

Nollywood is so limited in plot...all our movies just scream "home video"....the same tired trend of voodoo, money ritual, local romance, etc...
Our movies are so full of plot contrivances and plotholes...even the big budget movies we release sacrifice a concise plot for fanservice...

Hollywood has some of these issues, but at least they still release some very good movies to make up for it...

And I don't just think it's a technological or budget issue...
Our storylines feel so limited....it's like they're made for old men and old women of the past generations...

Maybe it's a culture thing...who knows...
A Nigerian spy thriller will probably end up looking like pure comedy

Now it's time for me to address something now that I've seen Dune Part 2.

It's the Similarities between Paul Atreides from Dune and Eren Yeager from Attack on Titan

*This post will contain spoilers for the Dune movie

I've been hearing for months about the similarities between the two characters and their situations...

And I must say I clearly see a lot of similarities and also a lot of differences between both shows/characters.

Paul Atreides drank the water of life and attained the power to see the past and the future...the same way Eren got hold of both the powers of the Founding Titan and the Attack Titan and was able to see the past and future...

The big difference however is that Paul Atreides could see multiple futures or timelines and saw a very thin path to victory and to save his people...

On the other hand, in Attack on Titan, there are no multiple outcomes, there is only one timeline and one future, so Eren Yeager only sees the singular future that must happen and has happened.

Another difference is that Paul Atreides had no choice but to start the Holy War because it was the only path for victory...however Eren's decision to follow the future and start the Rumbling was based more on his desire and his nature to seek freedom...

Also, in Paul's case, he actively tried to avoid the future he saw...plus it was not in his nature to do the things he did...he only acted that way because he was pushed to a corner and it was the only path to victory from all the possible futures he had seen...

In Eren's case however, his actions were in line with his nature from birth...one who actively sought freedom...one who would destroy the enemy who tried to take away his freedom... whether they be Titans or humans...so Eren didn't need to change...his understanding of his situation changed instead...and his enemies changed...

That said, there are more similarities in that in both characters, both Paul and Eren are partially motivated by revenge and also for their people....

Both characters have also pushed the women they loved aside in a quest to acheive their goals...
Boths characters have also taken reckless risks because they've seen the future and know they survive them...

And who knows...both characters may be killed by the women they love...
I haven't read the Dune books so I can't confirm that

this guy again !!!
