It's a gradual process bro. Everybody go chop breakfast.. what's the need of the money u stole and can't Spend within the country? The politicians will also feel this. And besides, I'm seeing a big problem towards next ele8, Dollar would be Scarce to get for campaign if the CBN and EFCC continue with this Momentum.. socialmediaman: 1 Like |

Whalis:Thank you for this, if you're in the banking sector or Maritime sector, and in Apapa, you would be aware that we pay a number of fees all in USD. From Shipping payments to companies like MSC, Ocean network, Cosco etc, to regulatory payments to Nimasa, NPA etc all these end up putting pressure on the Naira, because the people making these payments would have to source it from the parallel market. I sincerely want to understand why these payments must be in USD, for companies doing business in Nigeria and also our Government regulatory agencies. |

It's part of what needs to be done. Some schools, hotels, supermarkets and real estate practitioners transact freely in dollars in a naira market. This ought to be an economic crime. But, do we really have laws that can check, prosecute and get this people jailed? Is there enough patriotism and willpower to effectively enforce the law? Infact, unauthorized or unregistered possession of dollars ought to be a crime punishable by law. |
