Hello, If I'm applying with my husband as dependant, are we still expected to prove home ties? If yes, what can qualify as such? 2 Likes |

Lance008: Hi, I don't know why that person told you so. A 1 year program isn't a criteria for getting a visa approval or rejection. You can apply for a Visa for any eligible program in a DLI. You should have adequate funds, social ties and documents. Read through past posts on this thread, you'll get an idea of the type of documents you need. My program is for 8 months, and I got a visa with no questions asked. Stay positive. 4 Likes |

ColdHunter: Yes, you are expected to show what will bring you back to your home country Nigeria. Also, you can only get work permit for him if you are going for Master's or PHD. |

Bobomaigida: Yes sir. I'm going for a Masters with a first year tuition scholarship. He is supposed to be my sponsor. My worry is if it will fly considering he is my sponsor and also going with me. |

I just got approval for $24800 study loan from.Mpower Financing. Has any one use them before? How can I add it to my proof of funds? Thanks |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 4:10pm On Apr 09 |
Will that loan cover for your POF? if it won't you need to complete the required POF, get SOA and the loan letter of approval if the money has not been deposited into your account. Wonder1844: |

It won't cover my POF. I will make it up with my other statement of account. The funds will also be disbursed to the school. JMG12: 1 Like |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by williams20(m): 5:59pm On Apr 09 |
Hoelujohn: if you are asking for MAY 2024 intake , Conestoga won't issue any PALs for may , so defer your admission to September and wait for the PAL to be issued , also you need to have paid up your complete first semester fees by your due date |

Hello everyone, please I need a clarification on this, I want to defer my spouse admission to September 2024 as application is now 16weeks after submission.. last update on tracker shows 3rd of April, school resumes first week of May 2024. If new offer letter is issued do we need to inform IRCC about the new start date? |

Lance008: Some collages are not supported by Mpower |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Bobomaigida: 7:44am On Apr 10 |
Eraytee: Yes you have to so that the validity of the SP will cover the lenght of the new start date. 16 weeks is a long time though. Request for your GCMS notes to just to see what has been done on the application. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Bobomaigida: 7:47am On Apr 10 |
ColdHunter: If you are able to show enough POF that will cover for both of you then it is fine, in addition, you will need to show strong economic ties to Nigeria from your spouse and yourself- Things like present work he/you do, landed properties, investments in Nigeria and family relationship that will bring you back to Nigeria. 1 Like |
