Na Business strategy naa, and Air Peace cannot tell me he won't use it too, if he had the means.
It's a dog eat dog world out there especially that line of business. Those guys are ruthless to the core. Hopefully Mr Allen stays the course.

He should think of a better strategy.

Offer free Airport pickups and dropoffs.

Throw ads everywhere. Shout Nigeria everywhere.

Make pilot and air hostess wear Agbada, Isi-agu and Babariga all at once on every flight. Infact, he should get ready to lose at this stage sef.

No time to dey beg. Comot shirt enter the ring.

Is anyone following this Paul Graham tweet attributing everyday english word to GhatGPT?

Nigerians has been roasting him since morning.

It's an interesting discuss especially for writers

I've been in a persistent state of mental gloom and intellectual restlessness from the morn high to night nigh. 😂

No, like what's really my fate? 😩

Lol...I've only ever pitched a foreign publication repre— oh, God. A guy that's an editor for HuffPost sha asked for pitches, and I sent mine. I was rejected. It's only a one-time experience so I cannot exactly think this AI or no AI thing is a reason; I don't have many experiences, and there are certainly some Nigerians that write for these people. I just can't help but wonder how many other Nigerians have lost one or two opportunities due to their *mechanical writing.* I cannot even remember how I wrote the email, but knowing me...

Omo. 😂

It'll be so so fuçking jarring have to pause and start my thought process to filter out "big words" that naturally come to my head.

I can point you to my tweets on the matter.

It's actually problematic because AI Detectors have been proven time and again to be biased against non-native writers, and these guys can't fathom that we're just that good with words.

We used to read dictionaries for fun.

And imagine this guy or people who think like he does being in charge of a project and you submit a proposal with some of those words.

You're just beating around the bush. What you're supporting doesn't hold water. Obi could have just held his peace rather than donate that nonsense.

Desmond was elected, he donated nonsense, he was called out. Obi isn't elected, he donated nonsense, you're supporting him. Its like you supporting a man who gives his neighbors bones and leftovers to eat as an act charity. Now whats the difference.

What Obi gave them is sustainable

If he gave them borehole with pump, they'll be coming back to him in a years time when pump spoil or somebody steals the pump

So the community Obi donated that Borehole to, is in Niger Republic?

Whatever happened to the say "anything that is worth doing, is worth doing well?"

It's even how you people are judging this Obi's action in isolation to other BIG BIG meaningful things he has been doing.

If one person did E, and another person who has done and has been doing A, B, C and D comes to do the same E, trust me, my reaction to them will never be the same thing. It is not hypocrisy or speaking from both sides of my mouth. It is contextual. And as Izz ou pointed out, if you have a big "office," I will expect bigger things from you. So why tf should an elected HOR member and a citizen who doesn't hold any official post be judged with the same metric?

Now does he have deep pockets to sustain all these till he has gained mileage is the question? How much loses can he afford and for how long? He really seems rattled.

It's sad because ChatGPT models are even meant to learn from human prompt and datasets.

Americans enjoy pedestrian use of english and expect almost everyone to do the same.

We've been doing spellings, dictation, reading dictionaries, novels and the likes from a very tender age so its expected that our vocabulary will be more comprehensive and expansive in comparison with the Americans.

AI detectors are BS anyways, you can write an original eassy yourself, subject it to AI detector and it will tell you the eassy was written by an AI. Jokes grin grin

Sorry about your experience.

I think this is why alot of Nigerians were trying to set him straight today. Alot of people (just like in your case) might have lost opportunities that they genuinely merited just because the reviewer think the words used was generated by AI.

I dont know mahn.

Airline businesses all over the world are very capex intensive, highly leveraged and suffer from low to zero profitability.

Infact some of them are loss making. Beyond the noise of the low costs, he needs to be sure he can play the long game as I'm all for a free and competitive market. I also dont think governments should subsidize or intervene in the manner he's implying.

These other guys are foreign Investors and can read signals. Also, he started the price war and should be ready to play

What u see happening to Air Peace is after effects of "unhealthy competition" in a market economy .

Na Air Peace use him hand bring the price reduction strategy in a bid to gain more market share at the launch of his new flying route; now this is the existing competitors responding with their own move.

I don't understand why Allen Onyeama is crying tho. Na u devise strategy , na u implement am, na au dey go from TV station to another analyzing the strategy to anyone that cares to listen ; now the strategy team of ur competitors have taken up the challenge to counter ur moves and u are shouting " evil conspiracy ".

I'm not a fan of pity party , Allen Onyeama either get used to the heat of the kitchen to cook better or get out of the kitchen completely ! Business is war!

The thing dey surprising. He undercut them, and they undercut him back. Why is he now crying? Did he expect them to just lie down and die?
