He didn’t buy them…He is the one coupling the battery himself, he delivered one for me last week 7.1kwh and he will be delivering another this week 1.34kwh.

Since my inverter got fried by lightning and it’s yet to be fixed and man never guide to buy another as I’d love to get a reliable one when I’m making a purchase.
I want to know if it’s fine to run the attached freezer picture on this inverter.
It’s a thermocool inverter freezer so energy efficient and the start up voltage isn’t high.
Your opinions are welcome

Thank you for your response.

I'm currently using the 570w version of Longi (5 pieces) and wants to add another set (of 5 pieces), but the seller only have the 580w available and it's in Abuja. So he offered them to me @155k/1 down to Lagos but I'm thinking of getting the Jinko 625w from Fuoani but wanted to know if it's a good move and if the Jinko panels actually outperforms the Longi as people claim.

Always a good move to me to get higher capacity panels. The more the power, the better it should be. So, go ahead and the Jinko. Now you can give us first hand experience the performance of the two.
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Ferdiwar: 11:32am On Apr 11
You can get the Growatt inverter as recommended on the thread.

1. Growatt 5kw inverter from Fouani - N697,800
https://fouanistore.com/ng/en/product/growatt-spf-5000-es-hybrid-5kw-48v-big-pv-input-inverter
2. 5kwh lithium battery from Valto - N1,200,000 or from Isangjohnson or any other brand of your choice.
3. 10 x 550w Jinko panels from Fouani - N1,400,000
4. SPDs, breakers and other accessories you may need @ Zeestone or keikei got you covered.
5. Cables has to be determined by your installer after the pre installation inspections.
6. Cost of installation is dependent on the installer.

Good luck.

Please can someone give me pricing for the below setup including where I can purchase from plus installation fees. I feel the quotation I currently have is too exorbitant. Thanks.

5kva SRNE inverter with 5.12kwh LiFePo4 battery, MPPT solar charger and 10 panels x 550w

What you are quoting is less than the stupid quotation I am getting. Kai!!! What of the price of a 10kwh lithium iron phosphate battery? I need a very solid OEM for the vendor. My fear of lithium is the fire risk.
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Ferdiwar: 11:42am On Apr 11
Sure I'll update on the performance when I get them hopefully by next week (fingers crossed on possible price reduction as $ is going down cool wink cheesy)

Boss, there are several types of Lithium; Lithium-ion and Lifepo4, are the two most common types in the market. Lithium-ion is the one with the higher fire risk. Lifepo4 has less likelihood of catching fire.

LIFEPO4 = Lithium (Li) Iron (Fe) Phosphate (Po)

and Lifepo4 is the ones being majorly coupled and sold on this thread. So, have no fears.

I have been in this situation before, what I had to do was charge the batteries without the BMS to bring up the voltage above the cutoff point, after which I was able to turn it back on on the app.

Sometimes it is that straight forward, sometimes it is not. When it is not, I lose track of what eventually I did to make it work but just know that when you get the voltage up, everything else you now need to do is within the app itsellf

Thank you for the response. I have tried several ways (which I read on Will Prowse website) but not successful. Some one also told me to charge up the battery and try. I charged it up to 3.34v but it did not resume. But I read someone who had similar problem had to almost charge the cells to 3.375v and it just come back.

I may have to do that.

The annoying thing is that Jiabiada website is not responding to email.

Having a 120A BMS does not mean BMS will draw 120A from Batteries, it only means you have enough capacity and headroom. which means your BMS will run cooler and last longer.
Just like having a 5KW inverter to run only a Fan or charge your phone, it does mean your inverter will push 5KW to the fan. or refrigerator.

The higher the BMS capacity the better, the 105AH Batteries can deliver up to 2C which is 210A... this allows for Surge.
Just like Inverters have 2X surge rating.

Most users won't charge and discharge at more than 30A continuous, and up to 80A burst.

Drawing 120A from a 105AH Capacity means the backup time will be around 50 Minutes, not sure people will do that.

Thanks for the enlightenment

Calm down,lol.

An installer will usually mark up his quote to handle little price fluctuations, and make some more buck from the purchase aswell.

Plus when you buy equipment yourself, you know that if anything happens your installer won't be as committed to helping you resolve it as when he handles everything...i'ld advise you negotiate with your installer. Especially if this isn't your specialty.

I can't really remember if it's the old JBD or JK BMS that usually behave like this, but you can also try this.

Get a small battery of 8v (like the mic battery) and connect it between the 2 terminals of the BMS (the big wire that connects to the negative of the battery bank and the big negative output wire) for 2 to 5 seconds and see if it wakes the BMS.

I don't believe you'll get a battery pack that comes with a dedicated active balancer unless they're integrated into the BMS.

Your opinions are welcome

The inverter should be able to carry this deep freezer. I power my 80w Haier Thermocool deep freezer with just the 1600w and it works. Give it a try. To increase the chances of it working, try these out though:

- Put on the inverter when the battery is well charged (at least 12.6v for a 12v system). If you are on solar, you should be hitting this by even 10am

- Put off ALL the appliances in the house and put on the deep freezer first. This will give the inverter enough headroom to accommodate the surge of the deep freezer

- As a last resort if you try the two points above and the inverter still trips on overload when you put on the freezer, leave it (the deep freezer) on, then switch off the inverter and put it back on so that the freezer will come on along with it.

If all three methods don't work, then upgrade the inverter

No picture,was attached

auwal8377:

Hello, my JBD BMS will not allow charge or discharge and this happened after my 24V LIFEPO4 battery drained to zero percent (0%) (from Xiaoxing app). When the BMS is connected to the SCC, the voltage will rise quickly and register full charge delivering 0 amps. I charge it directly via the SCC to about 36% and still the BMS did not start. When I connected the load via inverter the voltage of 26.1V quickly drained to 17.3v and the inverter disconnected.
The specs of the BMS is (AP 20S006 20S 200A).
I tested charging the battery pack directly with SCC and also discharging with an inverter and it works.
It means it is the BMS that is the issue. I tried jump starting but it did not work or I didn't do it correctly.
Kindly help with the solution.
Attached is the picture of the BMS model too.
Thanks
