I submitted my application since the 9th of february and I received a feedback after two weeks that it has been received and decision would be decided by the admission office, for those who have gotten admission from them, do I have to hit them up asking what's keeping it long coming or just wait as its the normal process?

Yes of course i applied last year after I did my legalization then they actually allowed scanning and uploading on the school portal but now you have to send your documents to the school directly. I don’t know why but they’re just making the process harder their next application cycle will begin in October this year so watch out for it . With Austria, you need a LOT of patience.

I’m currently in the same situation as it’s my school of choice. Waiting for their feedback after submitting documents to the department. I will eventually reach out to them this week. I have also filled a request form to enquiry on the status of my application.

Yes you can apply though some schools like jku Linz requires IELTS but most Austrian universities doesn't require it just apply and you're good to go with biochemistry you would have a lot of options most people you see on student visa finished with 2.2 so don't be discouraged . At 37 years you're still a vibrant young man but knowing Austria and their processes, you won't be there until at least next year February that's if you are able to finish your verification and legalization before November if not it will be in September meaning you'll likely enter Austria at 38 so if you can't be patient I'll advise you try other countries.

You should Visit studyinaustria.at and you'll find all their institutions and select at least 10 good universities and follow up with the information there regarding their admission and admission requirements. This is exactly what I did. I don't know of any other group for Austrian students The last time I checked they dissolved all the WhatsApp groups so that prospective students can get all information needed here on nairaland on this thread.

Bro I know this is not what you want to hear right now but you just have to take your mind off anything application for masters until you’ve done your verification and legalization and pray it doesn’t take more than 4 months so you can meet up with the September/October application period because that’s when the major universities like Vienna Salzburg Graz and the likes are open for admission. Just focus on your legalization for now and take it very seriously make sure that all the date of birth in your certificates are the same else you’ll need to swear an affidavit. The bottom line is that all your focus should be on legalizing and authenticating your documents for now.
Note that legislation and authentication rules has changed and I’m only talking from my own experience when I did mine last year

Authentication and Legalization is a one time process.

Once your docs are authenticated and legalized , they remain indefinitly valid for use in Austria.

If that’s the case then you should reach out to the school via email they’ll respond to you within 3 to 5 working days I believe, there’s nothing like expiry dates. It’s just your documents they’re legalizing so it can be recognized in Austria. Na just one yeye sticker with German language and signature dem go knack untop your documents that’s all. Nothing much
