Back then in 2015/2018 we had many creative nairalanders in terms of writing, music and even scientific research.

Now reverse is the case. What's happening?

Why are you not creative?.

People finally realized NL is like a scam art where Seun takes all your contents, cash out big time without any form of a structure for compensations to the content creators.

If I have a great content, I will never post on NL where I get nothing for it and Seun get to keep 100% of the revenue.

This is 2024 and not 2007 anymore for crisssakke and we don wise up! Let Seun create the great content himself!

What exactly is the usefulness of the useless front page if not for the adrenaline rush of making a front page, It really means nothing to the content creator in the great scheme of things?

We just come here to troll, pass time and nothing else. If Seun wants great contents on NL, let him start by rewarding good contents or create a structure that does that. In life, always think of what you stand to gain in any interaction and treat everything as transactional.

Reason why 60% contents on NL is about prices of fish and garri increasing in the markets.

If you a great content, post it elsewhere where you get rewarded for your time and skill and let's continue trolling on NL.

Site has been taken over by angry and bitter people.

The thing about the internet is, it guarantees annonimity. (Most Nairalanders don't use their real emails here, and you aren't linked to facebook. IN the old days, you could paste your yahoo internet messenger, not anymore)...so people post on the site what they won't say in real life, since no one would come and beat them

At the end, its' bedlam.

Dem dey think it is catching cruise, I think it is just being mean to other people.

RIght now, one makes a comment, someone responds with abuse. Person wey you never abuse starts abusing you. Mental.

Anyway, its' the internet. Every site is like that.

Compare the situation of things in the country in the date you mentioned above and now in 2024.

That should tell you everything you need to know.

Times are changing and people want to keep their projects out of nairaland because people will steal your ideas and not give you credit for it.
They steal your works and sell it on Amazon and other places. You will only get to know if you read alot and tech swavy.

I have a personal research project I'm actually looking funding support. My current rough estimate is $4000
If anyone is interested in supporting

Check the cost of adverts on front page and Seun has always been keeping everything to himself minus the peanuts he pays his moderators. We are not all stupid, never post any creative content for free and NL front page is mostly useless.
There should be a reward structure for every content that makes it to the front page or take your good contents where it is rewarded. Let's troll together on NL.

Na idiot dey try make Nairaland better.

I followed some good writers in the past; one a skilled penman, another an up and comer with potential. How did the owner of the forum encourage them? He banned links to their websites. He also hid and deleted many of their useful posts. Out of frustration, they deactivated.

The highest that can happen is hitting the front page. The dopamine high is fleeting. After three hours, back to square one. Children here don’t venture out of Nairaland. Your list of new visitors from this forum will never pass four people at most. So, what is the point? There are other platforms willing to pay for participation. A serious mind will face those.

Gone are the days when fourteen year olds used to collaborate to create topics. They grew up and realized this place was a waste.

I've been seeing diff topics lately on NL where they discuss about the absence of moon, where they talk about the power generation capacity of the pyramids in Egypt and Susan yet I never saw your comment on any of that post

U all will claim NL no longer have creative people but when others try create a thread, u still won't go there to prove your creativity
