Albertone: Any tech person that knows his onion won't send 300+ applications to land an interview. I wish I could show you lot of unsolicited jobs from foreign companies that I ignored. If you have to write 300+ applications to land an interview in tech, the problem is not with tech but your skill set. Time to upskill. 1 Like |

yungchop: By without a degree, you mean a degree in business courses? The answer is yes you can switch. I know many that did it. You would only need 2.1 and above and go buy fundamental accounting and finance books to get the basic terms and concepts. So it would be harder for you. Asides that you will be fine. ICAN and CFA are highly recommended and globally recognised. Unittyy: In Nigeria? Yes Abroad? No 1 Like |

Poverty is what? Idiot... Are you in the U.S ? And lastly What is the minimum wage in Nigeria?? If you want to complain, use the minimum wage first!! If the minimum wage of a country is #33k and you're earning #500k monthly! Your head don scatter if you complain!! Earthquakes: 2 Likes |

the culture of looking for job still dey baffle me for 9ja. with your skills you no go do wetin go dey bring money for you. you go dey look for work and work and work and work...for how many years? you Know Java and react create apps that can solve one problem and put it on playstore and make money for life. why chase money? your skill is supposed to empower you to make money even why you sleep. There's no scarcity anywhere there's layoffs and there's people that get Hired everyday. the simple difference is value: specialist get payed more than generalist. however a specialist who's a celebrity get payed more than an ordinary specialist. make yourself a celebrity in your industry work go dey chase you. how can i be a celebrity...easy appear on the platform your idea Target (target market) hang around. 4 Likes |

Homiesjinxbank: That your dream job is 500k doesn't mean others has to settle for your 33k minimum wage. Some tech certification alone cost 2000$ and you want the person to be happy with 500k job I was earning 200USD a day genuinely when I was in Nigeria so don't think you need to be in the USA to make dollars easily or to earn over 500k a week |

Don't just have tech skills, know how to sale yourself and tech products. Having a tech skill is not just enough again and working under start ups should not be more than a year for an ambitious IT guy. Diversify your portfolios invest in ventures like farming, stock, and others with what you get from tech |

You only failed to mention the fact that when they get the funding, more often than not, the next thing on the agenda of the promoters is the latest Toyota car in addition to a new life of night clubbing and most likely a change of girl friends probably from ilupeju babes to Lekki babes. nlfpmod: Hi friends, considering the recent shifts in the tech industry and layoffs, it's understandable to explore other sectors for job security. However, it's worth noting that IT has evolved significantly. Many companies are transitioning to cloud computing for data storage. Investing in cloud computing skills could be a strategic move to stay relevant in the IT field. It's a growing area with increasing demand. Keep updating your skills to stay ahead in the industry. |

Which one be property tech? Spleet was never going to make it na. All na this kini kon kini kon companies when the industrial base of a country is almost nonexistent. For Nigeria to succeed economically, we must go through massive industrialisation in the real sector before entering the service industry. Besides, apart from PayStack and few other fintech companies, how would investors make profit off Spleet when rents are naira denominated? |
