It is still at N12.10 with about a million units on offer at that price. With 30 minutes to go let's see if there is a surprise mop up.

Market reaction to impending case this time is different. Perhaps an indication that the outcome of the case will be different tomorrow grin grin grin

Everybody no one talk because it's dicey.... grin
Depends on you, think both are okay sha....... Dividend or price appreciation....
Just have a plan in place to average down if it tanks the more and be ready to wait it out.
Watch the body language of both as well......look for likely bottom, market news and market's reactions to the prices in the sector.....

** This is purely my personal opinion. Remember we all have different risk tolerance levels, emotions and approach to market fluctuations.....😊

I am concerned about the market itself not oando.Oando may sail through tomorrow but this type of red in the market is not what you go to bed and sleep with both eyes closed.

UBA at 23 gives you N2.07k dividend after tax (10% guaranteed)
If the price has gone down by the time dividend is paid, you can use some or all of your dividend to purchase more shares to average down.

For Access bank, current dividend qualifying date is now in the past.

Please note that this is my personal opinion based on your question so kindly apply due diligence smiley

There's no one way to the market....
Like earlier mentioned by one Oga, this market reacts so much to sentiments.
Favourable sentiments may again surface and then, it will be all green again.....
Be ready to wait it out if you buy and just have a strategy to buy more if it tanks....
If you continue to wait for bottom, you'll end up buying NOTHING in this market
In as much as it is a good and fundamentally sound stock, I don't see any cause for alarm..
Some Ogas can wait for years just to pick at grave robber price, someone's total portfolio may not even be up to 5% of theirs........ whenever they buy, they buy big and strike much bigger, but it can take years for just one transaction in the market, their brokers didn't like them..... grin

I think till the bond rate (and inflation rate) go down properly; the market will struggle to rise well.

Bond rates need to go back to single digit for the economy to stabilize.

Single digit is not sustainable in Nigeria, the ideal return should about 12%

Perhaps fat cat investors are taking position in bonds to balance their portfolios. Yesterday's bond auction was at 20% for the 10 year bond. And this ten year bond gathered N462b of the total N627b auctioned. As investors locked in for the longest duration auctioned.

My account is yet to be debited for the 10 year bond I applied for

I think it is temporary. Tied around the bond auction of yesterday. The auction marginal rates started going down self. Some of those that bided too high and got nothing will come back to the market sooner or later.

Why didn't see the effects of those whose bids didn't succeed in the stock market today.

Keeping your cash in fixed deposit till the next primary market offer is also a strategy

the next one may be lower as its now dropping gradually as seen from the range of bids. One has to bid under 20% to be successful with the longest tenor next time else, the money will be waiting for higher rates and this may not come

He said those who didn't succeed will buy equities and I asked why they didn't buy today.

Yesterday's bond auction result.

About N300 billion was returned to investors whose bids did not fly

I am concerned about the market itself not oando.Oando may sail through tomorrow but this type of red in the market is not what you go to bed and sleep with both eyes closed.

Looking at NSE 30, the monthly bond auction dates seem to align with red days in the market. Most likely it's the same effect with the main all share index. (Did not find the all share index readily so I made do with the NSE 30 as it should be representative enough)

Looking at the past the market should recover in about 3 days if this current red is due to the demand for funds from the bond market.
But this April deep started some days before the auction, so there is a possibility recovery will be faster or perhaps slower. It's starting earlier may also be due to funds required for the holidays last week. The first market deep was also on Jan 29, the auction date for that month.

Oando results to hit the market soon

The company said, “The 2022 Audited Financial Statements of Oando Plc have now been finalised and approved by the Board on Monday, 8th of April 2024 and will be sent to the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRC) immediately for regulatory approval, prior to their release to the market. The interim results for 2023 will also be released to the market soon after the 2022 accounts are published”.

It noted that having approved the 2022 Audited Financial Statements, the audit of the 2023 AFS has now commenced, and the company is committed to ensuring that the 2023 AFS is published on or before July

If we look at their 2021 result, it was clearly stated that they made loss as at Dec 31 2022 unaudited result (read the last 2 pages of the audited 2021 result). Let's hope the audited 2022 result brings a bit of hope.

BullBearMkt:
Is the Banking Sector Preparing for a Potential Decline Ahead of Results Release?
Based on the chart, banking sector outlook looks suspious for another downturn. The month of January candlestick reveals significant sellers coming to the market driving the index from 11031.04 to a close at 866.93. Both the bulls and bears were undecided on whether to continue draggiing the index further down or drag it up in February. The 2 months invariably created a big barrier (894.93 - 979.65) for March, as it has to close above 980 before there can be respite for the index to tick up.

Failure for the banking sector index to close above the top of the barrier in the ongoing month, will see a decline in the sector (and many banking stocks) in the coming month(s)
