What advice would you offer to someone who was previously denied a USA visa in March due to insufficient evidence of home ties? Since there is currently a lack of interview dates available, the individual is contemplating attending the interview in another African country. The reason for this decision is that school is scheduled to resume in June. If you were to suggest an African country, which one would you recommend? |
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 17 by OyoTunjiUSA(m): 2:01pm On Apr 16 |
Acade: Hey 🤠 1. Your F1 visa would be denied again even if you travel to Canada for another interview because USA visa policies and rules are usually teleguided. 2. They asked you 1+1 in Abuja, Nigeria you said 10. Then you find yourself in London. They asked you again 1+1 you said 10. No mathematics teacher (USA consular) will give you such mark until the years you know that 1+1 is =2. 3. Your solution is to narrate your visa transcripts to the general public so that you can receive corrective opinions . Therefore, you can go back to that embassy like an armed soldier and get your F1 visa. Best Wishes 🙏 |

Dear All, Please I have an offer from university of Florida and I am yet to get back feedback on funding so I applied and got 24 hours approved MPOWER LOAN of 50,000 dollars, Kindly assist with the following questions in a case of no funding should I make use of MPOWER support letter ? 2. does using my sponsor proof of fund increase my chances of visa approval? 3 I currently work with a tier 1 bank as a full staff but do not want to fill it on my visa application as the course I applied for is unrelated to my current job, what should I do? 4. I am currently married with a pregnant wife and I intend leaving her , does this suggest strong home ties? 5. What are my chances of securing a Visa Approval without funding from UF? NB: The offer is for MSC and the opportunity for GA is only certain after enrollment. I will be grateful for a feedback from you guys. Thanks |

FAMILY247:Change the location on your profile from Lagos to Abuja. You will get approval within 24 hours. Once you are approved, change the location on your profile back to Lagos and then schedule your interview. 1 Like |

Hello House, I need our advice please. I applied for a PhD in energy policy and I was given admission for Master degree In energy policy. I had already accepted the offer before I realized the admission given was for a master degree. Infact it was in the process of filling a form to request for the form I-20 I noticed that I had to fill the funding source or statement of account. It was then I checked the details of the admission offered to me. I wrote the graduate school and they told me I should contact my department. I contacted the department they told me they worked based on what they sent to them from the graduate school. I am at a cross road now and I don’t even know what to do again. I am planning to write and inform them that I am no longer interested in the admission given to me since they refused to offer the PhD in energy policy I initially applied to. I need your advice please. |

kes4glory: Hey 🤠 *** Back then (very few presently) I had lot of bankers as friends. 1. Your job with the tier 1 bank as well as your pregnant wife are your best ties if you had applied for B1 (job related conference, seminar or short training) visa. 2. They are your best ties if your present employer (the bank) is sending you to the USA for the Msc program . 3. You have laid a shaky (F1 visa) foundation already by not attaching your Msc to your present professional skill . You also have deviated from related work-place program which could have been a good excuse of returning home to take higher position or establishing your own financial entity. 4. Now that you does not want to mention your work-place in your visa application, i do hope you don't want to tell the consular officer that your parents /family are going to sponsor you (independent man with a pregnant wife) for your Msc ? ** Well if you have being working for let's say the past 7 years , you can reasonably use yourself as self-sponsor . 5. Anyways don't use that MPOWER LOAN. Funding is not absolutely compulsory for Msc if you can prove beyond doubt to the consular the availability of the whole Msc expenses. Also be ready to tell the VO why you are opting for this course of study ? What are your post study plans ? Best Wishes 🙏 |

alamercy: Hey 🤠 1. Your last paragraph made me believe that you are a genuine PhD candidate. By years long research, 95% of PhD students are doing it for the natural love for education and all of them prefers the doctorate degree to any achievements of life. 2. The department you applied to does not (presently) have fundings for incoming PhD applicants, and perhaps , the few professors in that department could not or have not secured research grants. Hence, they don't want you on PhD for now. 3. If the above is not the case then you do not have the required qualifications to get into their PhD. ** If you are very certain of your academic qualifications, then don't accept the Msc offer. Look out for other Public Reaearch Universities . Best Wishes 🙏 2 Likes |

4gunners: Hey 🤠 @4gunners. 1. I did not say it is the reason they are alive but the moment your educational passion demands for PhD (naturally) then such applicant has gone beyond reading/studying for success . ** By research , 75% of PhD Drop Outs who later become multimillionaires still regretted that they have failed in lives for not achieving the doctorate title . Let's stop here. 2. Although , Universities pay PhD students stipends and funds award directly , it is actually the professors in each department who sources for Research Grants and in the research proposals , the professor would list numbers of things he/she wanted to do with the grant awards , including the fundings and stipends of incoming PhD applicants who will work under him or her and submit a copy to the University and another copy to the organisation/ entity he or she is seeking the grants from . 3. Professors in each department actually determines the number of incoming PhD applicants because without Research Grants that is available , the University will not open admission to PhD students . Without Professors in a department or University, that University won't win any research grants . Best Wishes 🙏 1 Like |

Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 17 by Grit2943(m): 12:14am On Apr 17 |
Tim37:Yes. Change it to Abuja to get approval. After approval, change it back to Lagos and then schedule your appointment. It has nothing to do with your DS-160 as long as you booked appointment using Lagos as option after getting approval via Abuja as option. |
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 17 by Grit2943(m): 12:19am On Apr 17 |
EmmyPers:Use Abuja to get approval. After approval, change it back to Lagos and then schedule your appointment. Regarding date search,I know that there are some WhatsApp and Telegram groups where fellow applicants hunt for date together. I don't have one currently to recommend to you at the moment. Lastly regarding getting emergency appointment, it would only be approved if you submit your emergency request 60 days prior to your programme start date. However, you must have scheduled a regular appointment date before requesting for an emergency. 2 Likes |
