birdman: Lol. The old guys are not done yet it's obvious. Guy, that class of players is like the most talented group ever. Bron, Steph, KD, Dame, PG, Kyrie, Harden, Kawhi, Jimmy. They're not going anywhere. |

Be like na Lakers vs Pelicans again for play-in Warriors vs Kings 1 Like 1 Share |
Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 9:47pm On Apr 14 |
steady986: There is more to rings than talent. Where has Kyries talent gotten him since that ring? The only two in that list that have any hope is Steph and Bron because of their mindset to the game. Unfortunately they dont have the right supporting cast. KD has exposed himself, he just wants to be a gunner, nothing more. Likewise Dame and Harden. Kawhi, for all the skill in this world is criminally under-motivated. Jimmy is a Larry Brown/JVG type player, maximizing his few talents but falling short in the end. PG could have used some mentorship from Kobe. His game is nice, but it has never taken that next step. Home boy is content. |

Re: The NBA Begins by greypencils: 10:46pm On Apr 14 |
I pity for my Warriors. They should better figure a way to stop Pels or AD during the Play-in. A Monk less Sacramento can be beaten. But Pels & Lakers? Make Curry just dey go Cancun Jeje. |

birdman:You dey whine Federal Government? Pelicans do not match up well with the Lakers especially this season. I can't quite place a finger on why they seem unable to compete but it seems they quickly gave up knowing the Suns were beating the TWolves and knowing they didn't have it in them to mount a comeback One more thing. I don't know if it's just me but it seems with every passing game I get less and less impressed with Zion. His numbers might be gaudy but his game don't be passing the smell and impact test for me especially in big games. Anyway I'm open to new information in the future though |
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 11:36pm On Apr 14 |
Do Lakers tank their play in game and duck the Nuggets? Or win and damn the consequences. I don't know why everyone will write them off yes they've been losing but I'd argue they're deeper than Denver. Presently there's 5 guys averaging at least 15pts per game. The idea that Lakers will stand no chance is a bit weird. |
Re: The NBA Begins by greypencils: 11:45pm On Apr 14 |
A40:Zion is indisciplined and has obviously lost that fire to compete with the huge salary given to him. Ingram on the other hand is the Pelicans best player. Dude has been aggressive since his Laker days. Besides that, if I was the Pelican coach, I'll just rest my first team against Lakers and bring the firepower against the winner of the Sacramento- Warriors matchup. The winner would be gassed and can't match the Pels first team. Being the 8th seed would have them go against playoff newbies, OKC, a team much weaker than Denver. |

In year 21, LeBron is still doing things that have never been done, in a league that has existed for almost 70 years. Just amazing . 1 Like

Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 4:07am On Apr 16 |
steady986: Yes the league is softer and its easier to score. But Lebron is much older and his game has slowed a lot. That he can still impact the game like this, guy man takes care of his body. Even D1 athletes have trouble with the NBAs pace. Crazy |

A40: Win and face the nuggets. Darvin Ham is about to get fired depending on how this goes. Some would argue he gets fired regardless. Might as well try ya luck lol 1 Like |
Re: The NBA Begins by Afromentalist: 5:30am On Apr 16 |
It is too dangerous for the Lakers to tank the game against NOLA. Wetin be the guarantee that them for beat the warriors or Sac in one elimination game? Steph can go ballistic in one game and kill you. How are they sure that Okc will not humble them regardless and turn them to laughing stock. You manipulate rankings when you have already locked your playoff spot , not when you are still unsecure. |
Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 6:45am On Apr 16 |
Why is this idea of tanking even coming up sef? So you think LeBron would intentionally lose a crucial game just because he doesn't want to face Denver. Let me tell you one thing for sure, LeBron is not afraid of Denver. Yes they are the current champions and have the best player in the world. Yes they beat us the last 8 games. Yes they swept us in the conference finals last year. But it doesn't matter. The past doesn't matter when it comes to basketball, especially playoff basketball. These 2 teams are closer in terms of strength than they were last season. LeBron is fitter. AD is playing amazing. Vando's absence would hurt but we'll manage. Rui is now in the starting lineup and is playing well, which means MPJ doesn't have to sleepwalk on defense like he did against Vanderbilt last year. He will work this time. Having said all of that, I think Denver wins it 4-2 2 Likes 1 Share |

Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 5:40pm On Apr 16 |
greypencils:Zion is proof that all the muscles mean nothing without the right mentality. The fact that he's refused to work on any type of jumper makes me feel like he's just Ben Simmons with muscles. I know people buy into how he's the most explosive player blah blah but I saw Reign Man Shawn Kemp and he is nowhere as powerful a PF as he was and even Shawn Kemp had a solid jumper so it's surprising to me that 5 seasons in he's still pretty much useless outside of 5ft Resting players in a winner goes home scenario is far too dangerous. All it takes is for a team to spam 3 pters at a 50+% clip and you go cold and next thing you're out entirely. Neither team should duck the Nuggets. Denver IMO are not as unbeatable, their bench is dodgy I know benches are far shorter in the playoffs but I don't know for certain that Watson and Braun can do what Brucey B did last year |

If the BWs and Woke mafia like let them kick against her push to become the cash cow with their agendas and let's see what becomes of their semi professional league |

A40: If they like, they should allow their insecurities and jealousy ruin it for them. They are not getting this opportunity again in the nearest future. There is nothing remotely close to her anywhere right now for Women’s game. There are levels to greatness and It is okay to accept she is one of those rare ones. The average prices for the Indiana Fever away games have jumped 151%, that means everyone is trying take advantage. The Angel Reese that they are making noise about did not even get drafted top 5. Roland17:If they like let them fumble her. There's almost 200million women in America. If they can't rally to support their first bonafide star, irrespective of race or identity politics then they need to pack up that league I've said it that Angel Reese is like a Valanciunas, Clint Capela type. Rebound and putback merchant. Britney Grindr, Breanna Stewart, Delle Donne etc all play similar pattern. Even Liz Cambage who's far more skilled What's helped her is she's at least feminine and not trying to look and appear manly to scare away straight male fans. She will move more numbers with her looks than her game 1 Like 1 Share |

Zion must be on NL or something. He's the only one that's looked half decent compared to his scrub teammates especially that goofy Steve Urkel doppelganger CJ McCollum. You just know in big games he would go full Bricko mode 1 Like 1 Share |

Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 2:00am On Apr 17 |
Lakers couldn't even tank this game if they tried. From the Pelicans and their stagnant offense brick merchants, can't shoot 3s. And the refs bailing the Lakers out when all else fails. And Ingram. Why do he take the most boneheaded shots. You're not like that bro |
