You guys should go easy on propaganda, lest you come down with diarrhea.
That news is a cognitive test.
Believe it and you're a confirmed lemming.

I can at least understand the ignorance of the average Nigerian Christian who is completely brainwashed by Evangelical messaging and can't tell the difference between an F-22 and an F-16.
But you should not be elated to announce to the world that you are similarly challenged and are willing to swallow implausible tales as long as they emerge from a "trusted" source.

Here is the roundup of what happened in this Iran-Israel blow-up.
Israel struck Iran's embassy compound.
Iran delivered the largest drone+cruise+ballistic missile barrage in the history of the Middle East with direct hits on the base hosting the jets that carried out the strike.
Israel promised a painful retaliation and used its terror links operating in Iran to launch less than 5 ineffective quadcopter drones.
I want to believe you've encountered a DJI drone before. If you have not, use Google search.
That a so-called military superpower used proxies to send quadcopters in retaliation to ballistic missiles from a peer would be deeply embarrassing for any country with self-respect.

But this is Israel we're talking about.
Where might fails, myth picks up the slack.
No sir, we did not only ask our terror partners to launch toys. We also fired invisible missiles from inside Israel that no one detected. These missiles, sorry UFOs, warped space and time and used a multi-dimensional shortcut to skip Jordan and other interceding countries to appear in Iran and magically destroy an S-300 radar. And we're so proud of our efforts we will never accept responsibility for deploying this alien tech.

Heck, Hezbollah has successfully attacked Israeli air defense assets with gimped missiles.

Don't mind them.
When Iran sent missiles into Pakistan to take out non-state militants, Pakistan deployed its fighter jets into Iran and struck targets in retaliation.
Pakistan publicly accepted responsibility and promised a repeat.

Meanwhile our Chosen loudmouths who receive their weaponry direct from advanced celestial civilizations had a major airbase struck by Iranian missiles but are too chicken and humiliated to publicly take responsibility for their embarrassing attempt at retaliation.

I feel lecturers in Lagos even dey nice at least dem get big city and things to distract them, for Ife na we be our lecturers means of catching cruise and relaxation

We get one lecture 4-6pm lecturer came gave test from 4 to 4:30 and left. Obviously the students left too

This lecturer came back to the venue at 5:30 and set another test. He claimed his lecture time is 4 to 6 and he expects us to be in class 4 to 6 even if he's not there. Na few students that were just chilling and hanging around take the test. And those days there were no cellphones to call each other

Most people who did Chemistry in Ife will know Angel of Chemistry, his own lectures start at 5:30am in the morning. So most people just sleep overnight in the lecture hall

One of my lecturers in final year just saw our course rep and told him go and get your mates we have a lecture this evening, the guy come complain say it's not on timetable where he wan begin find 40 students all over.

You know the lecturer at the appointed time went to the class and taught an empty class.

The next lecture when he started saying "From our last lecture...." everybody just burst into laughter.

grin grin

From last lecture bawo ?

The annoying thing is that most of the lecturers who do this are gods in their own right . There's nobody u can report them to. They are professors most likely on the same cadre with the VC . Some of them even first VC start to dey lecture . Who do u want to report them to ?

They just make schooling so difficult for students . Omo, Nigerian students go through a lot in naija and that's why they excel when they travel out and school in a more conducive environment

This na line we dey use console ourselves sha, cause going through an abnormal system riddled with needless inefficiencies does not in anyway prepare you for a normal system, if anything it leaves you with bad habits.

How standing inside one dark, poorly ventilated and overcrowded class take prepare person for a well ventilated and lit class of say 20 students?

U missed the point .

My point is if u can study under unfavorable conditions and earn a degree, u will surely do well studying in a conducive environment .

It's not about consolation or anything of such. A friend whom we we graduated from the same course , we equally did our M.Sc together as well. He relocated about 2 years ago and recently completed another masters in a university in the UK. We discuss about the learning conditions over there and there's stark difference with what we had to go through over here.

U are obviously reading my post wrongly. I never said our inefficient system prepares us for an efficient system abroad , rather that our ability to excel in this inefficient system shows we can actually do much better in an efficient system .

For example some Nigerian lecturers set exams as if they want u to fail. There's one particular lecturer back then who will come to exam hall during his exam and will start jesting and asking us if we enjoyed the questions he set. He does this with joy knowing he has twisted some of the questions that even some brilliant students can give the wrong answer because they don't understand the question. Whereas abroad u have lecturers setting exams with the aim of testing ur knowledge of a particular concept or it's practical application in a case study/real life scenario

Like they don't regard us the citizens one bit!

Then when u talk about these things , u have some fooolish citizens who will now make it seem like u are the problem . Like u are the one the one who made them unable to deliver on their promise . I believe the government knows such fooolish people who would throw up anything just to make dem sound more patriotic abound in large numbers , that's why they do things like that with disregard for the people .

Both Israel and their supporters are on the feel good syndrome. No mind them 😂 😂 😂. If at all they destroyed it, Iran has so many rogue reporters in it at least an opposition to Ayatollah would have reported it. Iran would have admitted it. Saudi would have told Iran about it since they now share military intelligence to an extent.

Lol

Reminds me of one lecturer - "shola simple" that year.

He dey give impromptu/random/unplanned quiz wey him dey call "brain trust".

1.Na dictate he dey dictate the questions give us verbally one after the other

2. The golden rule is that you must not "cancel" on your answer sheet i.e, once you answer question(s), you cannot change your mind.

The baga's attendence was also very strict: you must not miss more than 2 classes for the semester and na him dey take the attendance by himself : after each class, he would call names and we answer one by one. He dey also check ID card at random so God help you if you try impersonate and he catch you - na automatic carry over

I think their mindset was that: the more difficult life was for the student, the better he would turn out to be in life.

Only a few of them were concerned with imparting knowledge

Those lecturers are crazy Wallahi !

We had one too that comes to class with his attendance . He already had our names and matric number on his attendance sheet. If his lecture is 8am, he will enter the class exactly 8am and start calling attendance immediately we finish greeting him. ( sometimes he doesn't even respond to greeting sef ).

U will just hear " 1, 2, 3, 4.... " that's people's matric number he's calling o. If u be number 1 and u no answer maybe u were distracted and u later shout present when he don reach matric number 2 or 3 , na OYO be ur case because he has already marked u absent for that day grin. Before u leave house , u must be mentally alert not to miss answering ur matric number when he calls it. If u come late into his class just forget about that day's lecture , it's as good as u didn't show up. The crazy thing is that the attendance constitute part of his C.A .

That man if u would score A in his course , u must be brilliant , attend lectures, write ur C.A test well and predict correctly his possible exam questions .

Funny enough , he later adopted me as his menteee. I helped him mark tests for students in levels lower than my set, I helped him record exam scores and assisted him in academic research work . Because of how mean he was , the few guys close to me amongst our juniors I helped them with their C.A o. I will ask them to come to the hostel , remove the rubbish they wrote in the test, give them a new sheet to write better test , mark it and record for them cos I know they won't score well in his exams and maybe didn't get much attendance scores . Some of those guys still appreciate me till date cos I was that out of compassion and at zero financial motivation.

Na that man no make me like Nigerian academic space. He's one of the reasons I don't go into academics cos I felt there's something in the Nigerian academic space that turn them all to Sadists

We are not just any school, Charterhouse defends N42m fee

Justifying the fee, the director of Communications, Admissions and Marketing of the school, Damilola Olatunbosun told the Nigerian Tribune that Charterhouse is a value-driven world-class educational institution.

Olatunbosun, “Charterhouse is not just like every other school anywhere globally but a prestigious and value-driven world-class educational institution that parents, who love quality and second to none education will always want their children to be.”

Despite the criticism, he stated that many parents have expressed interest in enrolling their children, adding that they are not surprised about our fees as it is within what they can afford.

“Some parents are here in Nigeria and some are based abroad. And they know the quality of education we will give to their children. It is about value and not whether the fees are high or not.

“They know it will cost them more if they are to send their children abroad and get the same quality and value we will give them here in Nigeria. The foreign exchange and the associated costs as well as nearness. ”

He added that there is no educational institution in the country with the facilities of Charterhouse, adding that the school would be of the same value as other high-profile UK-based schools.

“Even though we are yet to commence academic activities and we have not also done with our construction works, no school in Nigeria has the facilities we have already put in place.

“And it is not all about physical structures in Charterhouse, but also about quality, both academic and extra-curriculum, and value for our learners.

“Schooling in Charterhouse Lagos will be the same as in Charterhouse UK or any other high-profile UK-based school. The only difference is that the Chaterhouse here will be immersed in the Nigerian culture thereby giving our students the best of British education in a multicultural environment.

“So, we are not just any other school, and many prominent Nigerians, who are either products of Charterhouse or have any of their children or relations attended the school in the UK are very glad that Charterhouse is now here in Lagos Nigeria.

“Even here in Lagos, there are some schools, for example, that charge in millions of Naira per annum while some in hundreds of thousands and yet some others charge something lesser. So, it is now left for parents to decide which one to enrol their children based on the value they want and their purse.

“We are building on 70 hectares of land in Lekki and it will cost us over $150 million at completion and that is why we are very sure that by the time we are done, people will appreciate us better. So, those who want quality and are familiar with Charterhouse know why their children must come to our school.

Taking on the possibility of the school reducing its fees in response to the public criticism, “education is like somebody who is hungry and wants to take lunch and go to a restaurant where a plate of food is N5,000 and another go elsewhere to take the same size of food at just N2,000 and yet another go elsewhere where he or she will get it for N15,000 or more.

“Though the food may look alike, their value will never be the same. So, it is about providing value for money and that is what we do at Charterhouse.”

https://punchng.com/we-are-not-just-any-other-school-charterhouse-defends-n42m-fee/

Follow-up on the Charterhouse school 42m per annum school fees.

Dem say make we rest make we no dey use panadol for another person headache o. They have their target audience and they are already indicating interest in having their wards enrolled in the school.
