I saw their video of the construction, the structures are massive and cutting edge but the school fees regardless is still superfluous |

It's located in Anambra not Lagos. You must have made a mistake. 1 Like |

vengertime:Don't bother your head, this is an authentic British independent school and specifically targeted for those who value and appreciate that kind of education. You may not appreciate it yet but wait till you know the intrinsic value. It's like wondering why Rolls Royce costs more than Toyota after all they are both cars. That school already has its market for high networth individuals, members of the diplomatic corps and expatriates. Availability of such kind of schools is used by great multinationals to pull talents into their workforce and such talents will be willing to relocate with their families to Lagos and Nigeria to work and live. Such models have been in use in Dubai, Qatar, Saudi Arabia etc, it's like bringing the snow to your doorstep without going to the parts of the world that snows. If you are not in their target market, don't take paracetamol for the headache of those who will conveniently pay it as individuals and organisations that will pay for their employees. 9 Likes |

vengertime: If Nigerians throng to attend this school, it only lends credence to my pleas to government to stop subsidising services for Nigerians who can obviously afford to pay way more than the government and service providers are charging. It also shows that if the government is willing to upgrade our universities and charge appropriately instead of annual tuition fees that is less than the monthly pocket money of the student, many Nigerians can afford those fees and our universities would still be well attended. The sad part is that some parents who would send multiple kids to this school, still want to pay their house keeper N40k and driver N70k, while also bypassing the electricity meter for their Air Conditioner power consumption. |

vengertime: Nigerians in the UK don chop belleful for Peckham and Southwark? Listen and hear now, the Nigerians who attend the best schools in the UK, have their parents making their big money in Nigeria. UK was not designed for an African immigrant/economic refugee to come in and make it. Don't let any Nigerian deceive you that they made it in the UK. They are only surviving and their children's children will only survive too. Nigerians who attended the best schools in the UK in the 1980s and 1990s, were children of rich politicians and business men, the military children, and the thieving bank executives. They all made their money in Nigeria and were spending it in the UK. That tradition subsist till today. Abi na those ones who have had to move out of London to the countryside to reduce their expenses and avoid gang violence, go save up for this elitist school when government school yapa for UK? You should have even said Nigerians in the US who have made it as professionals and are already accustomed to premium pricing for services and education of their children. 2 Likes 1 Share |

FreeStuffsNG: As per the text in bold, you are very right. Most parents would never have to pay out of pocket for such schools. Whenever oil industry downturn occurs and people are laid off globally in their respective countries, it is always the children's school that is the first casualty of the new modest lifestyle. That is because na company dey pay, so many parents target the best paying schools to enroll their kids, just because. So when the reality dawns after a layoff, they realise their kids can get a good education at 1/4 of the fees they've been putting on their employer's tab. But trust that there will always be that Talika alagidi who will want to show off and send their children to this school, even when it is not necessary. Just for the show off is enough motivation for some Nigerian parents who are not ready to pay the housekeeper more than N40k per month. 1 Like |
