Mr. Oluwole just wants to diversify his sources of income with the toll that would be charged on that road. They should have rehabilitated the existing federal highways that are in decrepit conditions before embarking on this new one. Then again money must be made by Mr. Oluwole before his tenure runs out.

Peter obi is a Trader who knows nothing about governance.

Obi will always open mouth waaaa spewing rubbish to massage the ego of his brainless obedients.

I pity obi cos he can never be president. His I too know is even rubbishing his chances coupled with his obedients mobs.

Tinubu will rule for 8yrs and thereafter handover to the North.

Coastal highway of corruption.

Our awmakers are a disgrace for not impeaching the illegitimate president for awarding half of our national budget without appropriation and competitive bidding; just awarded it to himself!

Why was the contract sole sourced and not allowed to go through competitive bidding, what's the competence and experience of the awardee contractor regarding coastal road construction as a primary contractor or as a subcontractor angry angry angry angry angry

To be honest, if you were to replay how you supported Buhari for 8yrs unconditionally,
you'll be angry with yourself. You're pretending to be having amnesia.

It was really terrible. You're doing exactly same thing for Tinubu.

My Problem with this Calabar end of the project is that there is already the east-west road under construction from Calabar to Akwa Ibom and continuing to Port Harcourt

Will this ten-lane be an an entirely new road or expansion of the one under construction with new bridges of ten lanes as well or somebody will use the Prince object to pocket the money for this two States including delta,, bayelsa where the east west has found already released and being used

All these explanations is too much for pitobi to comprehend. Invite him to a lecture about this and tutor him for five months, after that a 3rd class graduate like him should be able to understand.

As a regular traveler of the East-West road handled by the Setraco contractors, I frown at this elephant project. That road connects all the South South states spanning through about 7 states to neighboring country, yet, the road isn't accessible. What's the difference between the East-West road and this Calabar-Lagos, except for the introduction of rail lines?

U don't know what criticisms are and that is why u think government is always right and u don't get to use ur brain to discern what is good from bad.

Obi didn't condemn it as u think, rather he said, the ones we have are yet to be maintained and functional and here u are building another one that may not be completed in the next 8years.

Just like Tinapa in cross river state...what has it benefited Nigeria but a complete waste today and the same govt is still paying for the loans used in building those structures.

For me,anything whose economic cost is greater than its benefits is a bad economics.

I love the clarification

There is no clarification but obfuscation.

How much is the road project actually cost?

What is the percentage the government is contributing and what is that of the contractor?

Can be work ministry tell Nigerians that the counterpart of the contractor is ready and how much of the part of the government has been released so far to the contractor

Is the entire 700km and phases covered by the arrangement or a particular phase while the others are solely government funded

Is the road ten lane, end to end or not.. Rail t the middle end to end or in some sections

The minister should do live interview like Jonathan used to so we can ask him they're questions directly

Critics are saying the motive of that road will end at Phase one (47km of Eko to Lekki Deep sea port) which is the original intention of the FG taken over what Lagos state Government had wanted to construct (Lekki Seaport access road). The concern is, if you guys are sincere, other technical aspect of the Jobs would have started in other sections.

The people don't want to be lead into a dubious project in the name of 700km when we know, they won't even complete the 47km in 4yrs time.

Minister Umahi should spare us this sermon and look concentrate on more urgent projects like the Bonny-Bodo Road which contractors have left site because of variations caused by same Govt he is (fx).
