Please can you tell me one country that was built solely on "good-wishes" ?

If there is any country that prayer and good-wishes could build that would have been Nigeria as far as the 90s Catholic church till date still pray for Nigeria after every mass. Other churches have organized prayer nights likewise Mosques.

In fact 31st December in Nigeria is nothing but a prayer night for Nigeria by majority of Nigerians, yet this good-wishes is yet to surpass the "bad-wishes" of the few on NL and twitter space?

Senior man abeg no dey disgrace yourself online. grin

Guy stop nau, he's actually right, it's depreciate and not appreciate. Admit you made a blunder and STFU

The Naira appreciated against the dollar with a downward trend from N1800 to N1000.

How is that a depreciation?

Your mistake is to think I want to communicate a depreciation.

No!

People try to sabotage or circumvent government policy everywhere this is not peculiar to Nigeria.

The government has the power to identify such actors and prosecute them so ask yourself why the federal government has refused to do so.

Tinubu knows those who were exporting subsidized petroleum to neighboring countries illegally yet he refused to arrest and prosecute them. Instead he remove subsidy without any plan in place and inflict pain on all of us.

Tinubu has intelligence briefing and know those sponsoring kidnapping and banditry. UAE even published their names yet not a single one has been arrested why?

Those who are manipulating currency are not the average citizens buys few dollars from aboki they are politicians and their friends with huge sums of money at their disposal. Why won't the government go after them.

People are naturally indiscipline whether white or black. What makes the difference is law enforcement. Citizens and politicians will behave right if they are sure that there is no escape from the law.

We are in Global Petrodollar System. Thus for naira to gain value, it must be defended with Dollars. Nigeria have the resources to do that abundantly but because your Polithiefcians prefer suppression of the masses, they refuse to keep doing that. They instead opt for Borrowing money we do not need from I.M.F and World Bank.
Furthermore, they refuse to make state owned Refineries work which means they prefer what British Royal family via SHELL want for Nigeria to our detriment in view of Value of Naira against Dollar.

Shell, Chevron, Texaco etc. all prefer Nigeria to always import processed Crude Oil. This is why they refuse to Help Nigeria repair our refineries when Invited by President OBJduring His Glorious Regime. And the crop of Polithiefcians we have now prefers that as they choose to Weaponize POOVERTY than paving way for High Standard of living there fellow Country Men and Women-Old and Young.

Nigeria is extremely wealthy to the extent that naira can be made to be at least #1 to $2!!!

However there is a way out for every Common Nigeria via Banks in and Outside Nigeria. Those Banks in Ghana, Benin Republic, Cameroon, Uganda, Tanzania, Egypt Rwanda, Kenya South Africa, Kuwait, Oman, England, China, Russia etc. can all be interconnectedly used to Harvest the thrown away Value of your own Naira. Also, there is now Alternate Dollar or Crypto Dollar that you can use your Naira To Buy on Crypto Centralized Exchanges like Bybit, OKX, etc.

See we who are at least 4 steps ahead of F.G.N knows just everything about there NGN Dollar tricks and how to counteract it. If you would like to join us, reach me on WhatsApp 070 60 578569

Those who want to protest should protest. You cannot stop that either. The government must be decisive and prosecute anybody that is sabotaging the economy. Once you make a scapegoat of about 3 highly placed politician or business men the rest will sit up.

Those actors are bold because they know that the government is headed by people whose hands are not clean and have no moral rights to go after them. Where there is no fear of prosecution the society becomes lawless and everybody will do as they please.

Let Tinubu take the bull by the horn and make a name for himself. Emefiele, Ganduje, atiku bagudu, sirika, yahya Bello and others too numerous to mention need to face the law and defend themselves....and do be jailed if found guilty.

Anything short of that we are just decieving ourselves

Is this a lasting solution? No. Export more than you import. Earn in dollars from exports and digital products and watch the Naira stabilize. For those asking for a genuine way to export and selli digital products to the whites especially USA, buy and Resell expired domain domains online. Yes. Register good domains for $8 each and resell above $100. Isn't that an exportation? Below is one of my proofs of how I do it and if you wish to know more about what am talking about, Check this free awareness thread; https://www.nairaland.com/3430037/what-make-money-online or Google how to make money online buying and selling of expired domain names. Imagine the solution this CBN governor is bringing.

How long will they continue doing this?
Check the screenshot below. I bought this domain $7.99 in Dec 2023 and resold it $400 by January this year. It's all about researching and creativity.
I regret wasting my money with you....all the sites you bought for me has all expired, nobody price it talk more of buying it hahahaha plus the money I paid you,I wasted 50k.

Now that you are using your brain, please can you go back and reread the thrash you wrote previously and replace them with logical arguments? grin

As for the UK go online (look for a city Facebook page and join as many as you can and your eyes will open) and see how they are complained that Briexit was a bad move and they are mocking those that voted out. Secondly on the issue of immigration across EU try and visit sites where countries discuss their issues and see how they are they are happy that the decision by former German councillor on immigration as come to bite them in the ass. Please it is every where.

You are academically challenged.

Can currency exchange to a dollar appreciate from 1800 to 1000, as an upward movement?

Is that not a downward appreciation?

Olodo!

Dont mind the guy. We all understood,

Note though that the correct terminology should have been " depreciated downwards to 1000". In currency pair trade, one currency has to be the commodity. In your write up, the commodity was clearly USD therefore it is USD that depreciated from 1800 NGN to 1000 NGN.

the downwards is also unnecessary as depreciation already means downwards.
