We need government to set up similar scheme that would enable every farmer( both in animal husbandry and crop production) to be able to sell their goods at a transparent price( a bit above the market price )to the Federal Government, this will encourage even an average white collar jobber to see agric as lucrative, see the villages are near empty,we need drive for every Nigerians to go back into farming in the south and in the north. One of the main cog in the wheel of agric. In Nigeria is MARKET AND LOGISTIC. The F.g will buy transport and process it for redistribution or exportation. Our people will be able to key into Cattle production ,pork production; fish production because this would encourage everybody. The moment you know as a producer that once you produce your goods the government is going to buy people will be encouraged to go back into agricultural production. 5 Likes |

Blaze14k:It's not mortgage. Lol.. They are not giving people credit to buy houses or build houses. It's a credit scoring system to make it easy for banks to lend money to trustworthy people. 5 Likes 1 Share |

This is not far reaching enough. The repayment period should be extended beyond 6 months. How many public servants can afford to repay a house or car loan within 6 months? The loans for major acquisitions should extend up to the length of service of the beneficiaries if they so wish. 2 Likes |

Dikegodspower:You can hate or disagree with someone but that doesn't mean you should hate every policy of his or that every policy is bad. Loans and credits are actually the bedrock of every economy. Nigeria cannot grow and reach its potentials if you must make full payment for a car, house and even items like phones and household electronics and needs before you acquire them. That is a stone aged way of growing an economy 9 Likes 1 Share |

Blaze14k:With a credit scoring system, microfinance Banks would be able to lend to their customers even without collateral depending on your score and amount. All they need to do is pull up your score. This initiative, in collaboration with financial institutions and cooperatives nationwide, aims to broaden consumer credit availability. They would also be able to blacklist bad customers that are defrauding the banks. 5 Likes 1 Share |

This is the kind of benefit the developed nations enjoy, you don't need to steal,do hook up and do otherwise because you want to buy phone and other basic needs.if this program has been on ground since civil servants wouldn't be stealing from the government purse 9 Likes |

Winning123:Think before you quote me. Didn’t you see the report where people have been reported with two(some multiple) NINs? Go & look for that news Do the unbanked in the society have BVN? Most people with BVN are experiencing issues with mixed up data. Even the network providers & banks are still asking the subscribers/customers to come & update their numbers/accounts with information that was already given to them years ago. Is that what you call proper data in a country? Next time think before you quote any comment. |

Please give Nigerians credit system. If it’s well regulated it will benefit the economy and everyone in general At the very least anti-japa people will not be able to use it as a talking point anymore. Let’s see what their new propaganda will be. But jokes apart, credit based system with commensurate job provision to ensure that the borrowers are capable of paying back might do wonders for our economy. I don’t like Tinubu but this could work. Heavy on the COULD because an enormous amount of integrity & regulation needs to go into upholding the system. 4 Likes |
