idahme:I think that it is the responsibility of the government to know when to talk and when to be silent. It's called leadership. Not everything can be communicated to the proletariat Many times you tell your wife about something only after the incident has passed and you've dealt with it. Anyway nigerians need some sense so maybe we need an economic meltdown and naira at one million to one dollar get some sense. |

I have been screaming on top of my voice for months now. naira cannot survive against the dollar. Any gain made will be artifical. Naira must find it true value against the dollar on it's own. Ghana redominated their current years again and then pegged their cedis 1:1 with the dollar. fast forward few years and the cedis is now 14 cedis to a dollar. TINUBU allow the naira find it's value naturally and stop wasting the foreign reserve.!!!!! 2 Likes |

Alexis11: Obidients caused Naira fall how? Why was Emefiele called all sorts of names and trashed for defending the Naira with dollar just like the former CBN governors before him. We say he printed money but don't mention Buhari who gave him the permission. After all that, they floated the Naira only to see the effect was disastrous partly due to fuel subsidy removal and they went to do the same thing they accused Emefiele for by using our reserve to back the Naira. Are you not supposed to ask questions if you're truly concerned about your country or is it just about ur kinsman being president? You're nothing but a bigot. You don't see how foolish this statement of yours is? They told us backing the Naira with dollar is bad, criticized Emefiele for it and then go back to do the same thing and we weren't suppose to ask questions? All Nigerians can't become zombie cos u want ur kinsman to be president even at the detriment of your future. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

You have no clue how these things work, absolutely none. Your type are those who blab about what they don't know, passing off semblance of knowledge for actual knowledge. Association of Ban everything crew 😂. 1 South Korean won is about $0.00075, but their economy is far better than ours and that should tell you something. SoNature: |

Babalegba: And wat is wrong with defending your currency with reserves. Is Nigeria the first country to do it or are we the only ones doing it. Every opec member uses crude oil proceeds to defend their currency, intervene in forex market, so why is Nigeria different |

SoNature: Your response leaves me in awe. How are the Nigeria-based businesses the problem? Ever heard of Balance of Payment and understand how it works? The most interesting thing you are neglecting is the fact that even Dangote Refinery enjoying benefits from the government is importing crude oil from the US. Is he paying in Naira? Let us focus on the important things. 2 Likes |

Cardoso and his team need to rise to the occasion and checkmate the activities of speculators before we are back again to where we were before. With the way speculators are hoarding dollar maybe the CBN will request for the permission of both Central Banks America and Britain to plant bugging device on dollar and pound sterling notes so that they can effectively monitor where they are going. |
