Go ask your father

Imagine the premature bonga fish that can't even stand in front of my youngest sibling talking trash to my late father.

You should be very ashamed of yourself, well, since you have no shame, I'd blame your failed parents for copulating without protection and bringing this nuisance of a waste of skin to life.

Rubbish and ingredients.

I'm NOT your dear, when my mother was your age, she had achieved way more than what you currently achieving. No need to drag someone who was holder of a blue passport at your age till date (if you can go find out who holds that class of passport holders).

Bye!

Booked an impromptu flight from Lagos to Asaba via United Nigeria to Asaba from Lagos . Booked the flight at 9:33am, it was a 1pm flight that cost ₦86,956.52. landing 2pm. Aim was to travel back same day .

Got to the airport at 11:30am. Checked email, no cancellation , so I walked up to the check in counter .

Flight AC75Z0

Frankly, I take united Nigeria and I can say they really okay. The last I took was also to Asaba and the flight did move to its destination, Asaba. Maybe some errors and more airlines don’t want to be caught up in the current trends happening with Nigeria airlines.

I would rather be dropped in Benin than Anambra.

How can Anambra airport to Asaba take 3-4 hours? On Sunday that traffic is less? It shouldn't be more than an hour the only thing there is some of you across the fear to enter Onitsha even when there's nothing to worry about hence you preferred longer Benin road

After researching the owner of this airline, things easily fell into place... Na so most transporters from that side dey do angry

The spirit of "Trans-load" that has infected all Luxurious Bus Transporters from that part of the country has also infected this airline owner..

"Transload" occurs when a transport company transfers passengers from their vehicle to another to finish a journey whose t-fare they had already collected in full.. . From the get-go, they know that they are not going to reach the desired destination, but due to their greed for the complete transport fare, they will collect it in full and then make only a part of the journey, and transfer the passengers to the cheapest junk they can find to complete the journey.. All this is done without informing the passenger about their intent to transload before collecting his money..

Travelling from point A to point B uninterrupted is alien to transporters from that side of the country.. To collect money dey sweet dem die, but to finish the task agreed na problem..

I won't be shocked that if op makes too much noise in their office about getting a refund, like 4 Agbero dey on ground to comot im teeth grin.. Na their standard modus operandi be that.. Refuse to complete a contract, and then have you beaten up when you complain
This transload of a thing you're yabbing here occurs in every part of this country and in some other countries, maybe you've not shifted before or simply bitter considering the way you yab

The person you're referring to is someone who's travelled far and wide probably before you even completed your primary school.

Anyways, anonymity makes everybody a nobody and makes a nobody somebody.
you are also overestimating the op. He can be older than I am (we cannot prove that) but not widely traveled, both locally and internationally.

But it's your kinsmen who have elevated Transload to an avenue for crookedness and premeditated and sneaky shortchanging of customers.. This kind of shady business ethic is why no one trusts you guys... For you and your kinsmen, it's always money at all cost, regardless of whose ox is gored...

If the airline knew they were going to transload the op from aeroplane to bus, why didn't they inform him of that before collecting his money?..

Till now, none of your kinsmen have answered that question.. Instead they have resorted to playing victim, finger-pointing and name calling...

It is good he is popular, we are not having a popularity contest, I said he is not widely traveled than I am. For him to state that Anambra airport to Asaba airport is about 3 hours, depicts his poor judgement about traveling. Traveling via United Nigeria Airlines, speaks volumes about your so called popular man. I rest my case

What is painful is I received no notifications for flight cancelation, I would have remained at home and not wasted money heading to the airport .

There was also no option of a rescheduled flight for same day.

Today is Sunday, and there will be a mad rush to leave Anambra to beat the sit at home routine,

The location of the Anambra airport is on the outskirts of town and not secure .

Not ready to waste about 3-4hrs from Anambra airport to Asaba town.

.
Why don't you modify the time it takes between Anambra state airport and Asaba? Several persons have pointed out that that figure is wrong. Do well to edit it.
The distance is roughly an hour not 3-4 hours like you mentioned.

You will be so surprised that both the initiator and 90% of the people contributing in this thread are all Igbo people using assorted monikers.

Offline, they use ESN and UGM to kill and hound Anambra people out of their own state.

Online they use Igbo Amala etc to attract hatred from other tribes against Anambra businesses and celebrities.

Their hate against Anambra people is fuelling all tribal wars on Nairaland just to make sure they uproot Anambra people at home and abroad.

Yorubas and Hausas as well as other Nigerian tribes cannot understand the dynamics of South East politics.

Anambra people are facing the most hateful people that God created and only God can save us.

The crime of Anambra is that they try to be successful.

Stop changing the narrative, why did united Nigeria not indicate that Asaba isn't an available route before taking his money?

Isn't this deceitful?

What if they've few Asaba passengers? Will it be wiser taking many Anambra passengers to Asaba airport or Anambra state airport?

What if he's the only Asaba passenger?

My first time going to Lagos, I used GUO 7.30am bus, booked 1st seat but when I got there I realized there weren't many passengers on their 6:30am bus and they merged us.

They changed my 1st seat and asked me to choose another because theres someone on 6:30.

He has no excuse to talk rubbish abeg

Madam, you can't compare GUO to an airline. GUO operates out of a motorpark and is not regulated by anyone. There is a level of enligthenment and regulation which air travellers are exposed to and motorpark arrangements don't have. The NCAA regulates airlines in Nigeria and what the airline did was illegal and fraudulent.

I can't advertise Asba by air and then deliver you to Asaba by road. It is fraudulent. Plain and simple. I dare the airline to come out and justify this nonsense and see how people will drag them.

Gazzuzz, inasmuch as The Airline (United whatever) has to be called out for their incompetence, non-communication and lack of customer respect, I'll like to correct a little mixups with your experience.

Firstly the distance from Anambra Airport to Asaba is less than 1hour, you can verify this from daily commuters using commercial buses and passing old bridge.

You are absolutely wrong!! From Anambra airport to Umunya express is up to 20minutes or more. As someone who has driven from Enugu to Asaba severally, you can't get to Asaba within an hour from Anambra airport even on a Monday (sit at home). It will take from 1hour 30minutes up for a fast driver. Small cars can get there within 1hour 30minutes ...

They could have given them the option first...

Secondly the Airline uses it's own coaster buses to convey passengers from Anambra Airport to Asaba, if they don't have enough passengers for direct Asaba, I have been a victim before( Where they failed woefully is not informing you guys on time)

Least I forget, the airline coaster buses don't ply the old bridge, they use the new bridge and have armed escorts that sandwich the coaster bus(es). Pointing back to the distance of the journey, it is actually less than 1 hour from the Anambra airport to Asaba.

For the refund, hope you initiated the process at the counter and your ticket is a full refundable one.

General 2 cents: Not saying this is what happened bro, but try booking your flights yourself so all communication can get to you first hand.

Enugu to Asaba isn't the same thing as Anambra Airport to Asaba, the later is closer than the former. Umunya Express is less than 5 minutes with a convoy involving escorts.

I am not changing the narrative my response is in tandem with your comment. When you go for cheap flights what do you expect? Asaba has a low traffic and the airline wants to reduce cost. It is a cheap flight and it comes with its consequence. I fly Dana when I am in the country and I don't have all these useless hassles. However full disclosure is good in business but trust me this guy will fly United tomorrow when he sees a 40% reduction in their fares and he will come here to rant.

With this experience, it's pointless trusting them with my travel plans in the future.

Let's see how long it will take to get a full refund.

I doubt the refund will happen in your lifetime. Green line or whatever in double hell they call them cancelled a flight from Akure since mid last year. They haven't refunded and I have since forgotten about them. I hardly use those subsidiary airlines except the fact they are the ones that service some of these back street airports too.

If Ibom air doesn't fly there and Airpeace (in that order) doesn't fly there, I find someone locally to attend to whatever I had intended to go for.

Define the motives. Have you had the trauma of having your flight cancelled without pre-information?

Talk is cheap.

Last week, I narrowly missed my Ibom air flight from Uyo to LOS. The aircraft was still on ground but the protocols had been concluded. I won't blame them for this and I never did. I stayed at the airport from 7.25am till about 2pm before I could fly (with additional 40k payment). When people complain you impute improper motive. To whose benefit?
