Do we have a foreign investment policy at all? I understand making some concessions in certain sectors but it's not every foreigner who promises to invest that we will ass-lick. We should have a policy for controlled FDI in sectors currently above the capacity of local flouting. We should discourage others coming to kill the local industries except they agree to transfer technology in the long run. All said, we need basic infrastructure requisite for development i.e. good road networks, functional healthcare, stable electricity, and an education system that actually produces and develops 21st century -readied human capital. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Currently, we see an opportunity to deploy larger ships to Nigeria. To achieve this, we need to expand the port infrastructure, especially in Lagos, where we need a bigger hub for logistics services. To expand only Apapa and Lekki port? 2 Likes |

Lagos is not the only port in Nigeria, they should allow other ports to receive all classes of cargo like Lagos and also invest in their upgrade just like Lagos, the ONITSHA inland river port has already been completed by President Goodluck Jonathan should be concessioned to the state government's port management company so that it can become operational. Every part of Nigeria should be given equal opportunity of development. 4 Likes |

Menclothing1:Well I wonder how this helps. Last I checked, these small ships usually go back empty which is why we're having the Forex crisis. Aren't we supposed to find ways to fill up these "small" ships as they leave first? 8 Likes 3 Shares |
