The Tinubu government is not putting it priorities right defending the naira artificially is a waste of time and resources. The government should do everything possible to put the three refinery in other . If Nigerian can access cheaper fuel, the local products will reduce drastically in price. Most farmers are spending in naira not dollars. Food is rising in price because of high cost of petrol. Let Tinubu and his team have some sense |

xavuv: Trash. Breton Woods agreement saw to the dollar being a reserve currency backed by gold. Nixon removed the dollar from the gold standard and pegged it on US federal lands. Now it's pure fiat with nothing but pure threat and action of violence from the JewSA. Rest. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

masseratti: How will you implement this? You guys always reason like Buhari, forgetting that the so called black market also has its advantage. How will diasporans get naira when they come to Nigeria? Through Banks? They will need a dom account for that. And if you're hoping for banks to exchange it over the counter, you've just created another black market, but this time you've given power to the banks. |

DeepThroater: Don't blame me for your poor understanding of economics. Mighty China, the second largest economy in the world has $3.2 trillion in foreign reserves, has a huge amount of it invested in American treasury bills. The dollar is the world's reserve currency. It is the most preferred currency for international trade. If you want to become impoverished, ditch the dollar! The value of a currency is always vis-à-vis another currency. Nigeria does not export enough and that's one of the main reasons the Naira is weak. A strong Naira encourages importation while a weak Naira encourages exports. Japan, South Korea and China became export giants and wealthy nations by weakening their currencies against the dollar so that their exports could boom. 2 Likes |

grandstar: Has it occured to you that all of China's major production is financed by western investors ? The US played the same trick on the Saudis that their oil revenue must be reinvested in US stock so as to not cause a one way cash flow. The chinks were promised same deal by Nixon to get US and western tech and cash investments in the condition that China invests in US treasury bills. Now the chinks are getting sense and seeing this as a scam and are bypassing commodity markets in the west by going straight to resource countries in Africa to sign trade agreements. The chinks are also trying to de-invest from the dollar by pushing BRICs. The only draw back being that most Chinese sales are based in western countries from western invested firms. It's for this reason I see China as a paper tiger unlike Russia which does not in anyway rely on the west. The future is Russia and not those communist prone insectoid slave economy chinks. 1 Like 1 Share |

Trying to untie Naira from the apron strings of US$ and other Western currencies was the 2nd cardinal and unpardonable sin GEJ committed against Western interest. The 1st sin was the signing into law of the anti gay bill. Once that bill was signed by GEJ, Obama vowed to walk with anyone including terrorists in Northeast Nigerian to remove GEJ. Today, the cutting of economic shackles and pillaging of African resources by the West is being pursued by the young military governments in Burkina Faso, Niger, Mali, and Guinea with great success. cuteboy2: So much so that the homosexual Obama banned US companies from buying Nigeria crude. The bastard even floated BH and propped up that idiot Buhari to steer us back into debt . God punish Buhari , Sanusi and the entire APC. But that doesn't mean that Obi would have been better . That Zionist IPOB idiot would have been the best Shabbat Goy to Larry Fink and Jewish banksters. 2 Likes |

DeepThroater: You’re not the west. You can never be like the West. You’re a black man that has squandered his money from oil proceeds since 1960 and now thinks a bunch of oil trade done in Naira will miraculously save his economy despite producing and exporting nothing of value. This is why you are APC. Nothing of value comes out of your head. |

bdon123:stop talking off point. If the govt can't run business or supervise those who run one, how will the govt run itself? This theory about govt not being able to run a business is from idiots close to seat of power who want to buy the country with what they have taken from it. That's why you see them using fronts to buy all privatized sectors and still can't run them. They cry about subsidy. Subsidy is not an issue if the govt buys directly from them at a profit and sells at loss. They want killer profit in exchange for shitty service they provide or all the money in the world for a normal service. Govt around the world do own and run businesses and ours shouldn't be an exception. |
