Please don't let any of your siblings study any of the aforementioned courses in this era, they are better rewriting JAMB or learning digital skills than going to higher institution to waste time and resources, and if by mistake you allow them study any of these outdated generic courses, then prepare to support them with learning trade or starting a small scale business after graduation.
Some courses ought to be scraped in Nigeria. NUC/NBTE and Ministry of Education ought to revisit our tertiary education curriculum and remove a lot of outdated courses from there and replace them with current trends that can produce graduates that will solve current global challenges.
Am surprised you included Mass Communication on the list. Do you know how much advertising alone is worth, a branch of Mass Comm? |

haybhi1: That's the point boss. It will always worth it if one studies medicine. Your input dope jare boss, no mind them. I'm just getting to know this, chief. Great, thanks. Here's one more course for you jambitos. Meanwhile, Hakym, could you list the schools that offer it? Just two in the whole federation. OAU and recently UNIMED , ondo. It's sad that OT diploma schools exceeds degree awarding. Practicing diploma holders too far outnumbers degree holders. Let's say 40 : 1 . 😔 |

haybhi1: The rest of you in other courses, sha strive to achieve first class in your courses, second class upper at worst, then you still stand some chances. However, it's important to arm yourself with other artisan knowledge that can fetch you a comfortable future. Pick Software engineering or Data science on the sides. Learn trade from the Igbos, if dem go teach you —the part where you can import from overseas especially. Learn how to fix technical stuffs like MRI machines, ATM machines, bank doors and so on. Don't dull, don't be lazy, don't do scam, don't marry or impregnate when you're not comfortable (if konji hold you, hold am back, if not, soapy and face front). Know what you must know well and be patient. The sky is wide for everyone. Walahi, options still dey, na you dey zuzu.
Hopefully, leaders wey better pass Tinubu make sky clearer. Goodluck, compatriots. God bless you for your contributions and reassuring words… 🤲🙏 Mideyblaq:

You're such a silly gnorant boy who doesn't know anything.
Why would people who didn't study the course be licensed?
I told you quacks are people who didn't pass through training and are not licensed, yet you couldn't still understand.
A quack doctor is a fake doctor who didn't study medicine and doesn't have a license. That's different from an incompetent or inexperienced doctor.
Most of you just use words without bothering to know the meaning. quack doctor spotted. |

Remove mechanical engineering from the list, bros. It's one of the so-called useless courses in Nigeria I have many relatives and friends that studied it, and till today, none has any job. Some of us are still sending money to them almost 10yrs after their graduations I won't advise anyone i know to go into it in Nigeria, unless he has what it takes to travel out immediately upon graduation. The knowledge of engineering mathematics in mechanical engineering should have helped them pass aptitude tests, GRE exams and general quantitative assessments which employers use to sieve job applications. |

How do one do this translator stuff? haybhi1: To buttress the points of Frsnchasofficia, my Yoruba people, if you're in the Art/Commercial departments, don't slack on language courses like German, Spanish, Mandarin, and Hindi. Study diploma in them, understand them well using Duolingo or so, be fluent and become relevant. The first two can take you overseas easily and but the last two! Oluwa o! Those Asian expatriates will be flocking around you like flies, with good pay like some I know. Note: I believe you understand English well enough to be able to serve duly as a translator.
Igbo people, I know say una go still come here tomorrow con abuse and bash us. Make una sha take advantage too o... God go judge una bad mouth and behaviour, because I no know why una go just hate people wey no get your time or hate you, in fact, their land dey bless you. |
