Politics of tribe and corrupt “emi lo kan” will not allow Nigeria attract foreign investments despite having the potential Even the $200 million investors that came through, they destroyed to build coastal highway, something no other country will do to its own. How will foreign investors be interested? 74 Likes 2 Shares |

There are hundreds of SMEs these state governments can offer loans or grants to boost the economy of the state and country at large but they prefer to seek foreign investments that aren’t forthcoming. Invest in your SMEs and agriculture. That’s what those countries you run to find investors do. You can’t create enabling environment for the indigenous businesses in your country, yet you seek foreign investors. 78 Likes 3 Shares |

A lot of governors don't actually care about the development of their own state. They're just there to loot as much money as possible. Most states in Nigeria, once you leave the capital more than 65% of the remaining local governments are under developed. Bad roads, no electricity, zero presence of banks and other businesses...etc. Would you expect a foreigner to invest in such a place? 27 Likes 1 Share |

Others attracted mostly foreign portfolio investment. So nothing special. We no get light, good roads, purchasing power is falling yet we dey find foreigners that will build factories in Niger. The only foreign investors Nigeria will get are investors in bond, tb and stocks. Those ones no need 24hrs light 12 Likes 1 Share |

It is not easy to attract foreign investors. Even Nigeria as a country is currently struggling to attract foreign investors. Meanwhile during said period, Edo state attracted several national investment in the petroleum, housing and power sector. 1 Like |

No SW state on the failure list. 1.Bauchi 2. Bayelsa 3. Benue 4. Borno 5. Cross River 6. Ebonyi 7. Edo 8. Enugu 9. Gombe 10. Imo 11. Jigawa 12. Kaduna 13. Kebbi 14. Nasarawa 15. Sokoto 16. Taraba 17. Yobe 18. Zamfara socialmediaman:Imagine the thousands of businesses that will spring up along that 700km coastal highway. Heck, Tinapa would start booming again. People can drive to Akwa Ibom to watch Nigeria play football and stop over at a coastal town in Delta or Bayelsa along the coastal highway to have fish and seafood peppersoup. Business would boom for every town in different states along that highway. But you are so shortsighted that all you are looking at is 1 umbrella business (really worth less than 1million dollars) on about 50metres of the 70,000metres corridor. 48 Likes 12 Shares
