That's not true. The pool of the moon has nothing to do with earth's position. It's the sun gravity that's keeping us from moving away, the moon's gravity doesn't determine earth's position on the solar system . In some years to come....the moon will leave earth

The meteorite section, that's Jupiter's work, not the moon. The moon has almost nothing to do with earths protection from meteorites or asteroids
